The 60087 7-Inch Tile Saw provides a great value for small, DIY jobs. It comes with two 7-inch continuous rim diamond blades for cutting ceramic tile, slate, marble and granite. This saw will also cut porcelain tiles if a porcelain rated blade (not included) is used. The direct-drive 2/3 HP, 120 volt motor is powerful enough for quick and repeat cuts, with automatic thermal overload protection to prevent overheating. Adjustable angle and rip guides plus a tilt-up table for 15, 30, and 45 degree miter cuts provide the versatility required for intricate installations.

This is one of the best economical wet saws I have ever used. I am a DIYer who just redid the master bath. Of course my wife had to pick out very ornate tile that would require numerous cuts so a hand cutter would not do. This saw made these cuts with ease and the tile portion of the bathroom came out so good my friends swear I hired a pro. It starts easy, cuts like butter and feels solid and it comes with all the attachments and two blades so you can use it right out of the box. This saw lets you save money and get professional results the first time.

I purchased this saw to install a porcelain tile kitchen back-splash for a customer. It comes with 2 different blades, even though the manual and box only mention one. I assumed the gold colored blade was for porcelain tile and the silver for other materials (The directions say you will have to purchase a separate blade for porcelain tile - You don't need to). Purchasing this saw was much better and almost cheaper than renting one for a full day. I made hundreds of cuts to 8" tiles, mostly diagonal since the tiles were laid out in a diamond pattern, and all the cuts were smooth and straight. I used the miter gauge only once, and it was just easier to do all the cuts free-hand (as you'll here in just about every review of a low price wet saw). You can even use the side of the blade edge for smoothing/grinding corners or edges of tile. The splash guard works, even though it looks sorta flimsy... but it works and easily adjustable. (Make sure the bracket that holds it is lined up straight with the blade).

Notes: It says it has a removable water tray - it is not removable and built into the base, but it does have a removable cover over the blade. It's easy enough to add water to the tray, and it holds enough for quite a few cuts. Make sure you keep the blade wet - the cuts go much faster and smoother.
2nd: The motor ran smooth and cool, but if you put any side pressure on it, or it gets dry, it slows down and almost stops.
3rd: The rip fence is plastic, and tightens at each end, and seems like it might work OK, but I didn't use it since I was cutting all 45 degrees. I can tell that if it's not parallel to the blade that the tile will bind with the blade though.
4th: The table top is metal, and will rust pretty easily if the unit is not cleaned and dried before storing. I spray a little WD-40 on all the metal after cleaning the unit.

Final line - if you need a wet saw for a tile installation, this seems to be the best deal for the price on amazon.com at the moment, and now I pretty much have a free saw and 2 blades over the price of renting one for a day or 2. If your doing large jobs, or very thick tile, or for commercial use - I'd get a higher end unit, but for a couple of baths or a kitchen floor and back-splash, it pays for itself.

This is a great unit for small rock cutting. I you are trying it on anything bigger than 1.5 in's then it is not a good fit for the job. Other than that its great.
