This is one of the best economical wet saws I have ever used. I am a DIYer who just redid the master bath. Of course my wife had to pick out very ornate tile that would require numerous cuts so a hand cutter would not do. This saw made these cuts with ease and the tile portion of the bathroom came out so good my friends swear I hired a pro. It starts easy, cuts like butter and feels solid and it comes with all the attachments and two blades so you can use it right out of the box. This saw lets you save money and get professional results the first time.

I purchased this saw to install a porcelain tile kitchen back-splash for a customer. It comes with 2 different blades, even though the manual and box only mention one. I assumed the gold colored blade was for porcelain tile and the silver for other materials (The directions say you will have to purchase a separate blade for porcelain tile - You don't need to). Purchasing this saw was much better and almost cheaper than renting one for a full day. I made hundreds of cuts to 8" tiles, mostly diagonal since the tiles were laid out in a diamond pattern, and all the cuts were smooth and straight. I used the miter gauge only once, and it was just easier to do all the cuts free-hand (as you'll here in just about every review of a low price wet saw). You can even use the side of the blade edge for smoothing/grinding corners or edges of tile. The splash guard works, even though it looks sorta flimsy... but it works and easily adjustable. (Make sure the bracket that holds it is lined up straight with the blade).Notes: It says it has a removable water tray - it is not removable and built into the base, but it does have a removable cover over the blade. It's easy enough to add water to the tray, and it holds enough for quite a few cuts. Make sure you keep the blade wet - the cuts go much faster and smoother. 2nd: The motor ran smooth and cool, but if you put any side pressure on it, or it gets dry, it slows down and almost stops. 3rd: The rip fence is plastic, and tightens at each end, and seems like it might work OK, but I didn't use it since I was cutting all 45 degrees. I can tell that if it's not parallel to the blade that the tile will bind with the blade though. 4th: The table top is metal, and will rust pretty easily if the unit is not cleaned and dried before storing. I spray a little WD-40 on all the metal after cleaning the unit. Final line - if you need a wet saw for a tile installation, this seems to be the best deal for the price on amazon.com at the moment, and now I pretty much have a free saw and 2 blades over the price of renting one for a day or 2. If your doing large jobs, or very thick tile, or for commercial use - I'd get a higher end unit, but for a couple of baths or a kitchen floor and back-splash, it pays for itself.

This is a great unit for small rock cutting. I you are trying it on anything bigger than 1.5 in's then it is not a good fit for the job. Other than that its great.

I already own a Harbor Freight special tile saw that works good but the fence is unreliable and it needed a blade. So in comes this one. It looked like a great deal and had 2 blades with a more reliable fence. It worked and I used it on my job but right when I got it in I noticed it was much smaller than I thought it would be. It resembled a toy. Right off the bat it bogged down on the tile. I had to barely push them through. The water system is bad too. Too much water gets thrown off. On my other one the water return system worked pretty good. I wish I wouldn't have used it so I could send it back. But oh well.....My suggestion would be to get the harbor model or the home depot model. Much larger platform and more powerful.

saw was just what I needed for 1 inch glass block back splash. It is small enough that I can hold the blocks and free hand cut and trim them as needed. And large enough I could cut the 12x12"panel.

this is a great saw for small tile, however, after i made a table extension it worked very well for my large (18 inch) tile. i have read that the table top gets rusty but if you wipe it off after use it is not a problem. i have also read complaints about the size of the (non)"removable" water tray but that too is not a problem if you attach a hose to the provided fitting and just let the water trickle in catching the overflow in a bucket if working indoors. i guess the only real compaint i have is the size of the table top.

Great little tile and stone cutter; two blades come with the system along with hex tool and everything is self-contained. Swapping blades is a snap. One modification or update to the model would make it better; the water tray is not removable. So dumping excess water and the sediment that builds up from stone/tile cutting is cumbersome as you have to tilt the entire unit. Although the unit is fairly light; I went ahead and just placed a reservoir tray that fits in there and has enough clearance room from the blade and the sides of the unit. I use this primarily for small mosaic tile cutting and for precuts for cabachons.

When the saw arrived at my home, my first thought was"GREAT... A SAW FROM PLAY SCHOOL" I was trying to tile (for the first time) A bedroom, A hallway, A bathroom, AND 2 Closets...a total area of about 250 Sq feet! This ended up being LOTS and LOTS of cuts to get the tile to flow well thru all 4 areas. This little saw did a SUPERB job of cutting ALL my 12 inch tiles...Did not break one tile! It seemed to have plenty of power & only got bound up once or twice (while I was pressuring the tile to go sideways--Operator error)... I have never actually operated Any kind of saw before...And My floor turned out wonderful! The Cutting table is not large enough to keep the guide on if you are using 12 in tiles...but the saw cuts straight & I did mostly freehand cuts...still turned out fine! The water tray is not removable...Quick solution: set garden hose on low trickle and have water all the time... I am completely happy with my saw...For the PRICE, this is a GREAT PRODUCT & WORKS FINE! Much less expensive than renting a saw, and now I'll have it for my next project! PlumberSurplus did a fantastic job of getting me the saw in a very timely manner!

I recently put up a backsplash in my kitchen. I used this wetsaw to cut porcelain and stone tiles. I used 1 of the 2 included blades to cut both. Even though the blade wasn't rated for porcelain it seemed to hold up, although the blade is pretty used up now. The rip fence is not the best design since it is just plastic but it is a strong plastic. The rest of the saw's design is pretty sturdy, especially compared to anything else in the price range. The water reservoir did need to be refilled about every other cut. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a tile saw for a do-it-yourself project.

This saw was cutting really nicely until it SHOCKED ME! We followed the directions to the letter. It may be an anomaly with my specific saw but BEWARE!
