5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Chair for the price!
I looked high and low for some affordable rockers, and finally found these. I was scared they'd be cheap because of the price, but I was very impressed with the quality when they arrived. Very nice construction, easy assembly, even sturdy hardware included.

3.0 out of 5 stars Complaint
I was a little dissatisfied. I live in an apartment with sliding glass doors. The chairs are different widths and one of the chairs will not fit through without taking one of the arms off. The other chair already has a split in the arm of the chair. However, for the price. . . .

This is a well-made, good-looking, and functionally well-engineered product. You'll find it a bit tricky to assemble but it's well worth the patience. You'll enjoy this chair for years.

1.0 out of 5 stars DOES NOT FOLD!, February 6, 2009
This review is from: Folding Adirondack Rocking Chair (Kitchen)
I bought two of these chairs. It is misleading to call them "folding" rocking chairs. Hardware needs to be removed in order for these chairs to fold. There are better wooden folding rocking chairs elsewhere for not much more money. Don't waste your money on these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tricky ... Sturdy... Big, October 9, 2008

As mentioned the assembly is a bit dodgy. The instructions gave me the impression the author was on a strict word budget. My best advice for assembly is not to tighten anything down until you are sure you have it right. A more appropriate description might be "some 'dis'assembly required" as I had to back track several times.

But once completed it appears to be a very sturdy piece of furniture.

This is a large chair! As mentioned in other reviews. At 5'5 my feet do not touch the floor.

All in all very satisfied with the quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great chair, difficult assembly, May 16, 2008
This review is from: Folding Adirondack Rocking Chair (Kitchen)
This is a great chair, especially for its price. It's very comfortable, seems sturdy (I got it yesterday, but I'm sure it will last for years). It's bigger than I imagined from the picture. It fit through my door, but only just. Also, I'm 5'4", and my feet don't touch the ground while in it, so I'd suggest a foot stool if you don't like your feet to dangle while sitting.
However, the assembly was a bit frustrating. I'm no handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but it was more difficult than I expected -- but not impossible. I'd suggest having a drill (though if you don't already, don't go out to get one before getting the chair!). The pre-drilled holes for the screws were too shallow, and the wood in places too hard to use a screwdriver only. While trying to drill two holes deeper, two of my drill bits got stuck, and then broke in two. So now I have two halves drill bits left in my chair... Luckily it was a cheap drill that I don't use often!
The instructions are also pretty bad. The pictures are tiny and poorly printed, so you have to use some trial-and-error. But they're not impossible to follow.

4.0 out of 5 stars love it, April 15, 2008

The chair arrived in good shape. The only difficulty was the assembly. The instructions aren't very clear, but with some patience the chair came together and looks great on the deck.
