In my opinion, this monitor is worth the risk.

We bought two of these, and each panel was flawless; no backlight bleed, no dead or stuck pixels.

Works only with DVI-D, not VGA or DVI-I, even with adaptors.

I have always been a user of the typical TN panel ranging from all types of sizes. My previous display was an Asus model which had a very fast refresh rate of 2ms alongside unnoticeable input lag. I did find myself trying to calibrate the monitor to look at least nearly as good as my Samsung HDTV, but that was impossible. Colors either became over saturated or unnatural in tone. Also there was a sort of slight distortion to the image caused by the coating on the panel. I then began to just suck it up and realize this monitor is simply not engineered for color accuracy and clarity, but rather for hardcore gamers who need the insane response times. Later on, I upgraded to the Dell S2740L. This is a 1080p IPS monitor that immediately struck me with its level of clarity and color accuracy that was before me thanks to IPS technology. Unfortunately, at 27" along with the typical viewing distance of a PC monitor, the image really didn't have that crisp and sharp look that my Asus gave me. It was until I sat unnaturally far back that the 1080p resolution was fine. The keyboard and mouse then became out of reach...

So my search continued and I stumbled upon 1440p 27" monitors. Then I came across this craze of Korean based monitors utilizing panels found in far more expensive units that were simply not 100% quality assured. Skeptic, I did my research and read, read, and read until my eyes bled. Then I did it; I clicked "confirm purchase". Amazingly, the monitor took just 1 day to arrive to my house from Korea, which 'till this day, I don't know how on Earth that was possible especially since the shipping was free. The packaging was pretty straight forward providing the monitor with adequate protection to insure it won't arrive as useful as a broom stick.

-pro-
can overclock to 120hz

screen is amazing, never had to adjust the screen when viewing from different angles.

cheap relative to name brands

-con-
light bleed from the bottom left corner. Can see it in black screen.

one stuck pixel, 2 dirt pixel which didn't show up under the dead pixel test.

screen was off center to the frame. It sat like 2mm below the top frame, so you can see a gap.

flimsy stand that wobble when tap it. Not a big deal.

generic casing that's also used on other monitor, such as the monoprice, x-star.

Personally, I would rather had spend the extra money and buy the Dell. Yea, it cost more but you get peace of mind knowing there's a 3 yrs warranty and you can return it even with one single dead pixel or light bleed.

But then, I got this so I can overclock it to 120hz. If anyone got question, ask and I'll gladly reply back.

This is a great monitor, hands down. Then, when you consider the fact that it is about half the price of any 1440p monitor you can buy in America, it really shows the value of this product. The actual screen is a slightly lower quality version of the same screen you would get from a 600$ QHD monitor, and although some of these supposedly ship with a few dead pixels, mine was perfect. It comes with the correct power converter for US outlets, and the power brick handles the power conversion very well. The DVI cable provided is of exceptional quality. The standard color calibration is pretty good, although I would recommend calibrating it. What else can I say, the stand is good and sturdy, it's just much better quality than you would expect.

Ordered the glossy version received the Matte+tempered glass version. - 2 stars.
Overclocked to 120Hz no problem at all, had to adjust the color profile due to gamma shift on the overclock.
If I wanted a matte monitor this would be 5 stars, unfortunately I wanted and paid for a Glossy monitor.
Fortunately for the seller, I am too lazy to return it, so I will just keep it.

So I decided to take the risk on this thing and I love it. Just opened it and overclocked it to 120 hz. BF3 looks awesome. It does have 3 dark/gray pixels but I can only notice them when I'm on a completely white screen. like facebook or something.
If you have been on the fence about it, just get it.
The extra ports such as hdmi and dp come in handy as well!

This monitor is beautiful, the picture quality is awesome. If you want to see what it is like, go look at a 27" imac. It is very similar. I do have 2 pixels that are stuck on green, but they are tiny and the only time you notice them is when the screen is all black. Keep in mind that there is only one input ( dual link dvi ).

I'm a digital artist and photographer and needed more screen real estate over the 25" 1080p monitor I was using. It was tough finding a good 27" monitor capable of 2560x1440 and IPS for under $700, so I thought this deal was too good to be true (but too enticing not to pass up!)

First of all I ordered this monitor on a Monday night and received it Wednesday afternoon. Expedited shipping was $12.99, on the label it showed it was shipped from S. Korea, so I don't know how this didn't cost over $100 to have it shipped that fast. But I'm not complaining!

When I finally got the monitor it had 1 dead pixel, which will really only bother you if you let it. It is off in the upper left corner. On a screen with 3.6 million pixels, one dead pixel isn't going to kill you unless you're seriously OCD.

PROS:
- Colors and brightness is amazing right out of the box.
- It's lightweight and slick lookin.

CONS:
- There's no on-board menu that offers options to adjust contrast, temperature, etc.
- There are only two buttons to increase/decrease screen brightness and another two for volume.
- It's made of light/non-sexy plastic
- Speakers are a joke.
- Monitor only tilts forward and backward. You CANNOT adjust the height.

NOTE: I listed as a "Con" that it doesn't have options to adjust contrast/color temperature/vivid modes. etc. but honestly I've screwed up so many settings in the past with other monitors, that I'm not even sure it's really a con. You can still adjust your gamma and RGB values through Windows7 by going to Personalize -> Display -> Calibrate Color, which is actually easier. Like I said, the colors were already nicely calibrated for sRGB straight from the factory.
