Music is great under the water and swimming!

It never worked from day one and the company asked me if I read the manual (in broken English) and then closed the return request without offering me a return option.

In summary, save time and money and do not buy this garbage product.

This is pretty decent MP3 player for the price, but I've learned a few things owning this product:
* If you're listening to audiobooks, don't load it up with more than 1 chapter at a time (there's no way to figure out where you are, and the the player doesn't always play in file order if there's more than 1 chapter). Anything more than 1GB of content, even songs, seems to cause confusion.
* Don't swim with it without the earbuds plugged in - I see a lot of complaints about it not charging right / running low on battery. If you let water get into the place it gets plugged in, well, surely you're smarter than that.
* Push the ear buds in a little harder (and up a little) than you would a normal player. Don't push too hard, or the ear buds will get stuck in your ear and you'll need needle nose pliers to get them out. It shouldn't hurt, and you should be able to swim 300m before needing to take them out to remove any water that's creeped in.
* Don't try to use this MP3 player for the first time in the water. There are something like 12 different actions controlled by 3 buttons. Spend 30 mins figuring it out on the couch where you won't get frustrated.
* The forward and back buttons are unintuitive (reversed). Turn it upside down, and it will make more sense.
* It's super easy to leave this thing on my accident, since there's only a single LED, which will make it seem like the battery life sucks. Always check it when you walk out of the Gym / unplug it from your computer.
* If you find it won't charge, you probably got some water in the earphone jack. Try inserting and removing the earphones plugs a few times to remove the water. Another trick is to put it in a ziplock bag with uncooked rice and leave it overnight.

I have had this mp3 player for about 3 weeks and it works great. I wish it had a random play option because it will only play in alphabetical order. Other than that it works great the headphone are just ok out of water but in the water they are top notch. The battery life is as advertised and I am still able to dive into the 15ft deep end of the pool I do laps in. The armband has to be replaced because it doesn't fit my arm but thats a common problem for me. A great buy for the price with a easy user interface (drag and drop). Just be sure you only put mp3's on it and convert your m4a's.

This was my first online purchase and everything was fine. The shipping cost was relatively low and delivery time within the schedule, considering that I live outside the United States. The product: excellent! much better than expected. This price is very low compared to other MP3 players as the speedo. 4 GB is more than necessary for an hour of swimming. In addition, the kit comes with everything included. Very comfortable, very easy to use, and there was no need to adjust the headset while swimming. The sound is pretty good. I'm really happy! Only negative: no shuffles.

Ive been swimming with it for about four weeks and no problems to date.>>>>>>update>>>>after about 70 days of ownership and approx. 50 swims of about an hour each Im sad to report a failure. The controls no longer function. Of course its past the 30 day warranty so I have returned it to Amazon Refunds for either a replacement or partial refund. Havnt heard if Ill get anything yet but will post the results. >>>>>update>>>>>> wow...Amazon refunds came thru and returned $28 of my $33 dollars. With this kind of service I immediately went back on Amazon and purchased a replacement...trying a different brand of waterproof MP3 hopefully Ill have better luck with this one but at least Amazon has my back!

This is the second one of these I purchased in a year. My previous one still performs excellently but I wanted to give this one to a fellow lap swimmer. It's light and plays audio books so I lose track of the time swimming and can switch to radio if the book concludes. Completely waterproof and no defects with my first on for over a year.

I wanted a cheaper, easier product and thought I'd give this one a try. I bought it to swim with and the first time I plugged it into my computer I was able to load music, but then it wouldn't charge, turn off, or do anything. I had to wait for the battery to run out to be able to charge it again and hope that the red light didn't stay on. After all that, it was working and I went for a swim; it started out great, but then on my third lap, I wasn't able to hear the music when my head was in the water. I would have to adjust the headphones every lap to try to get it to play while I was swimming. I ended up not using it for the rest of my first swim. I decided to give it another chance, but I wanted to put more music on, so I plugged it into my computer and it didn't register that the device was plugged in. I did all of the trouble shooting things to try to fix it, but nothing worked. So I was stuck with the songs that I first put on it and I wasn't able to charge it. At this point I was pretty frustrated with the product and wanted to return it. I contacted the seller, but this has been (and still is) a very long and annoying process. I'd give the product and the seller 1 star. Save yourself the money and effort and buy the more expensive items...which is what I'm doing now, even if I can't return this!
