4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Little Card Game
Everyone I've played this game with has really enjoyed it. The only problem I've found is that the cards really start to repeat themselves after a while. It would be nice if there were extra cards available to purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs more cards!
I asked for "Quoa" for my birthday because I am a huge fan of "Quelf". The first time I played the game with my daughters it was really fun. The second game was still fun, even though many of the cards were repeated from the first game. After this, it wasn't so much fun anymore. There are only so many times you can tell about an embarrassing moment or recall something...

I asked for "Quoa" for my birthday because I am a huge fan of "Quelf". The first time I played the game with my daughters it was really fun. The second game was still fun, even though many of the cards were repeated from the first game. After this, it wasn't so much fun anymore. There are only so many times you can tell about an embarrassing moment or recall something you dream about.

I do like the concept of the game a lot, but I think several expansion decks would really enhance the whole experience.

All in all, this is still a good game as long as you realize that you'll be repeating the same cards if you play often. It would be a great game for a one-time event like a slumber party or a church youth-group activity night. My 13-year-old daughters enjoyed it, it was appropriate for their age group and the directions were easy to grasp.

This game has a great concept. Cards allow for players to be silly and get to know each other without having to reveal anything too personal. It also keeps things lighthearted. This game was perfect for me when two families came together at the first time at Christmas (several having never even met before). It is also a game that can be played with players with large age differences. It says for age 12 and up but most 8 year olds will get it.

The downside is the limited number of cards. The game is played with several rounds to decide who is the ultimate dictator. This works fine with the Quao cards but all the other cards can be repeated in each round. This is more likely to happen if you have 4 or more people playing.

This game is great for one time events or with small groups of people you don't know very well. It is not a game that will be played repeatedly within a family.

As all the other reviewers have said- more cards are needed. But if you are looking for a quirky game for a one time gathering, for people who are meeting for the first time, or for weekly meeting that needs to be livened up, this is a great way to go. I think I may expand this game for my own use by creating index cards.

5.0 out of 5 stars FUN! FUN! FUN!, September 21, 2007

What a great follow up game to Quelf! Both are a MUST!

As the absolute, supreme ruler of a disorderly land on the very edge of chaos, QUAO sees to it that attempts at democracy are futile. Only QUAO (pronounced 'cow') knows the rules, and she runs the show deciding when the rules are broken and if punishment should be meted out. Each player is dealt five cards and has the chance to discard one of them during each turn. The player that successfully completes and discards all the cards in their hand first, wins the round and becomes the high and mighty dictator, QUAO. Whoever wins the fifth and final round becomes the ultimate dictator and winner! QUAO comes with 71 cards in 5 categories.
