This is a great Western music album. It has much more music than many soundtrack albums I have bought in the past. It covers the entire span of the movie quite nicely. Great music in the tradition of the John Wayne Westerns.

Excellent selection of music from the film. Based on the titles of the songs you can relive the film as you listen. The songs range from upbeat open sky music, to soft sentimental selections when playing Cora's Story. If you liked the soundtrack to Lomesome Dove, you'll love this one as well, both were composed by the same writer.
