These brakes work well but they are manufactured quite cheaply. Of the 4 brake pads I bought, 3 didn't have the rubber seated all the way into the metal housing. It doesn't affect their performance but it is a cause for concern.

When I replace these pads I'll put a couple more bucks into them and get some that don't have defects.

This is a really good deal on pads. They seem to work well on steel rims even in the rain. The seller is not over-charging on the shipping so when you buy a whole bunch of them you are getting a really good deal. You probably could get a decent deal on brake pads if you live a bigger city through your LBS (Local Bike Shop) because they don't have to deal with shipping if you are just buying enough for one or two bikes. Otherwise these start to be a very good deal when you are buying in bulk.

Also, the labeling of this item and the packaging confused me. I thought there were 4 pads in each item and not just one pair. I wasn't paying too much attention -What else is "Quad" supposed to mean? Silly me, I thought I was buying twice as many and getting a REALLY SUPER good deal but even at the actual price it is still not a bad deal. That's something to be aware of.

I will probably be buying more in the future as I didn't get enough the first time around since I rebuild bikes and sell them. Items like brake pads go fast.
