Quakehold! 4338 the A-Maze-ing Picture Hook

I had a hard time finding the type of closed hooks that work for keeping my pictures on the wall permanently. I found these and they work great. They are too big for my decorative plates on the wall though but, otherwise, the mirrors and family pictures are safe now and won't fall. I also took the recommendation on the back of the package and used the Quakehold Putty for keeping the corners stuck to the wall.

Great product...as easy to use as the ordinary picture hook. It is not meant to be visible so one needs to ensure two inches of space between the top of the picture's frame and the wire hanger. This is a reasonably priced product compared with some other quake-proof hooks, and I am very happy with the design. I learned about these hooks from the fabulous custom framer that I use in Berkeley, CA (Storey Framing).

Haven't had any quakes to really test it yet, but it holds when the cats bump against items.
