Quakehold! E25 80-Gallon Water Heater StrapI purchased and installed this kit for my daughter's gas water heater who lives in TN, a state which required her new water heater to to be installed on a metal stand, but amazingly did not require it to be strapped. However, given the inherent danger of a very heavy gas water heater teetering on a rather flimsy metal platform which could fall over and cause a gas leak inside the garage, adding the straps to prevent that seems like a "no-brainer". I chose this kit because the straps completely encircle the water heater and securely attach to the wall studs. Installation was straighforward and the end result looks neat and sturdy, and gives me peace of mind for my daughter's family's safety. |
