I'll be honest. Unless I have the day off or someone makes it for me, I usually don't stop for breakfast. I just don't have the time, more often than not. Since I'll get draggy before lunchtime if I don't eat, I've been trying various pre-packaged ready to eat breakfast items such as this one.

Here's my conclusion on these:

Taste: For something that you get in a box, it isn't bad. It won't ever replace home baked cookies, but it is yummy enough that I've bought a few boxes of this. They can be a teensy bit bland on occasion, though.

Texture: Reasonably soft. It isn't soft-bake Tollhouse cookies, but again... for something that comes out of a box it's pretty soft- softer than many regular cookies out there. (Minus the ones made to be more chewy/soft.)

Hunger satisfaction: I was a little leery that this wouldn't satisfy my hunger & that I'd be snacking afterwards, but surprisingly, one cookie goes a long way to filling you up.

My conclusion is that while you may not want to make this a regular breakfast item, if you don't have a lot of time to get something more substantial, this is one of the better options out there. It's more healthy than eating a Pop-Tart, anyway.

This cookie is great for my daily afternoon milk and cookie snack. My nutrition software frequently recommends it as a healthy addition to the day's food log, and this particular flavor is tasty enough for me to have in place of dessert. Not a substitute for real food, but I am very glad to have them in the house to keep me away from donuts, cake and regular cookies.

I realize some will take issue with "the fat" in these amazingly tasty -- and stocked with vitamins -- treats, but let those naysayers just shut their yaps. These cookies are not only nutritious, the fat is NOT bad fat. I would bet that the reviewer who would write to complain of the "fat calories" in these cookies, doesn't get how important good fats are to the diet. Fats are vastly under-rated in our slenderness-obsessed but totally obese American society. Hey, think there MIGHT BE a link there??
For those who just want something tasty that works well pre-workout and post (esp. when spread with my favorite: peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella, etc., then get these! Life's short -- LIVE and work OUT!

My junior high daughter has been consuming these Quaker Breakfast Cookies for over a year. It is her "go to" breakfast when she needs to be out the door, especially for athletic events. As a soccer player, she often has 8:00 a.m. games as well as school practices that require her to leave between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. After experimenting with several other types of breakfasts (protein shakes, toast, bananas, eggs, etc.), these are the only breakfast she can eat without obtaining an upset stomach during games or training. It is just like eating a soft cookie - she enjoys the taste. I always have them stocked in the pantry, the car and her backpack.

Is it the healthiest breakfast one can eat? Probably not. Is there nutritional value? Yes. Her other options? Eat nothing and pay the consequence during practice and the wait until lunchtime.

These are the most delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!! They come in microwave safe packages. Open the cookie wrapper and stick in the microwave for 10 seconds and it tastes like a freshly baked cookie. Be careful, at 180 calories per cookie - an average calorie count, you could eat too many at one sitting. I use this as a reward or breakfast.

I have been enjoying Quaker Breakfast Cookies ever since they came out. They are a good source of fiber and calcium and lower in calories than comparable products. I have them for dessert instead of cake or pie. I cannot buy them retail any longer in this area. It seems that when one grocery chain drops an item, then they all do. Hence the mighty Amazon.com comes through. I will continue buying Quaker Breakfast Cookies in either chocolate or raisin as long as Quaker makes them.
