Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The Qual-Craft adjustable roofing bracket features durable all-steel construction with an adjustable 6-inch or 10-inch platform. Designed to be used with 2-by-6-inch or 10-inch planks, the bracket allows for easy installation and removal without damaging shingles. Already compliant with OSHA regulations, it is recommended to use at least one bracket per every 8 feet of spacing.

From the Manufacturer

No more rooftop Achilles tendonitis; Qual-Craft's Roofing Bracket hooks to the company's Pump Jack system to offer a sturdy, flat surface to stand on while roofing or working at heights. The platform adjusts to eight feet in length and supports one person plus 40 pounds of tools and materials at that setting. For those do-it-yourselfers who're still inching the ladder along to do roofing, the Qual-Craft system and platform is a great time-saver. The platform angles to 10 degrees to keep you leaning toward the work, rather than toward the fall behind you. All-steel construction ensures optimal safety and durability. Adjust the platform for either 6- or 10-inch widths for comfort. The plank attaches to either 2-by-6-inch or 10-inch planks, and is easy to install and remove without damaging shingles. Complies with OSHA regulations.

Adjustable Roof Jacks February 7, 2002
Most of the houses that we build have a 12-12 roof. I can't tell you how nice it is to stand on a 2x10 plank.I would be lost without my adj.roof jacks, they take up less room when they are being stored, I have some of the fixed jacks they are in my shop collecting dust. A fine product you can't go wrong.

My wife and I are building our own home without contractors. The roof has a 12/12 pitch. I would not have been able to shingle it (24 squares!) without these roof jacks. Remember you'll need a few of them. You have to keep the lower levels so you can climb to the next level(s). You also need the lower levels to stand on to build or remove the upper level. They should be spaced no more than 8 feet horizontally. I went 10 feet with no problem. Get the wide size. You'll appreciate the extra width to place tools and shingles. I used a 2x8 and a 2x4. It was too hard to handle a 2x12.

I just finished reroofing my house and I used 8 of these brackets on my 12/12, 15 square roof. They are easy to install and remove, and take up little space when folded for storage. I also used a ladder in between levels of planks to minimize the number of jacks I had to install. These are cheap and make roofing so much easier. The adjustibility is also nice. Highly recommended.

Essential for Work on the Roof
I used these brackets to make a platform that I could use for housepainting. They worked great! I wish I would have discovered these devices earlier in my home repair career.

An inexpensive solution to a steep roof job.
These are rather basic brackets although they are adjustable. Finish is nothing special and probably dunked in paint and sent through a dryer. Read more
