The Qualia Revolution begins with the recognition that the most fundamental scientific ‘fact’ is not the existence of an ‘objective’ physical universe, but rather our subjective experience of that universe. Yet the fact remains that not even the most advanced quantitative science can explain even the most elementary qualities of our sensory experience - our experience of ‘redness’ for example.
‘Qualia’ used to be defined simply as our awareness of sensory qualities such as colour. But what if awareness is not simply a blank receptacle for sensory experiences, but has its own innate sensual qualities - qualities such as the inwardly sensed colour or tone, lightness or darkness, levity or gravity of our moods; the sensed spatiality, shape and substantiality of our bodies, or those sensed qualities of inner warmth or coolness, closeness or distance that we feel towards other human beings.

Cosmic Qualia Science is a science through which the reality of the human ‘soul’ is affirmed and understood as an ever-changing field-pattern of Qualia. It is a science in which matter too, is once again granted its own soul - atoms, molecules and cells being understood as the physical form taken by field-patterns and qualities of atomic, molecular and cellular awareness. Not least, it is a science in which God not only might but must have a place - as that primordial field or ‘light’ of awareness that is the ultimate source of both energy and matter.
