An excellent Quality Control resource,
This review is from: Quality Control for Dummies (Paperback)
From the first few pages, you can tell the authors know the in's and out's of Quality Control. In "Part 1: Understanding the Basics of Quality Control", they lay out a simple, easy to understand explanation of Quality Control and how you can apply it to whatever business you are involved in. In "Part 2: Putting Fundamental Quality Control Methods to Use", they present a plan to get you started "Down the Road to Quality". They address one of the hardest things to accomplish regarding Quality Control, the collection of metrics to measure, report, and evaluate your progress. The remaining chapters are equally informative and each goes into precise detail on applying the fundamentals of Six Sigma to your Quality Control program.
With helpful tips and expert advise loaded in every chapter, this book is an excellent Quality Control resource and I recommend it highly.

For my staff,

I purchased 5 of these books for my staff. Due to restricted budgets, which caused my training $$$ to be deleted, I purchased these books in lieu. They are easy to ready, provide great examples and have provided my staff a basis from which to perform process improvement techniques. I would recommend this book.

The best all around guide to Quality Control,
By
This review is from: Quality Control for Dummies (Paperback)
I helped implement TQM (Total Quality Management) back in the 1990's at an industrial manufacturing complex. We lived and breathed the principles and had quite a few success stories before the site was sold and new management style was introduced and TQM went out the door.
After that, quality assurance was relegated to a book on the shelf that we would point to when asked if we had a quality plan. I left the site in 2000. Last week I used this book to prepare for an interview I had with another large company wanting to implement a quality program in a division that hasn't ever really followed a real quality program. I used this book to prep myself on all the new terms and concepts, and together with my real world experience I was able to ace the interview and secure the job.

I bought this book to get a better understanding of a 5S quality system and I have learned much more than just 5S. If you are interested in any of the quality concepts, this is the book for you. Because it is part of the Dummies series, it is easy to understand and full of great information. Super book, super information, all at a super price!

Fairly good, but not worth 5 stars,

This review is from: Quality Control for Dummies (Paperback)
This book is fairly good, but not worth the 5 stars I see it's given here. It barely covers the basics, but spends too much effort increasing the word count and therefore payments to the others. There is no need to point out you need to read the previous section to get further information about a topic mentioned. That happens a few times.
