Bought this for use in my Inspirion 9300. I'm getting close to four hours on a single charge. I will update this review in a month or two and report on how the charge is holding. So far, so good...

***UPDATE***

The battery worked great for a few more months and then died completely around month five. Disappointing to say the least.

When I installed this battery, I got a desktop message saying that the laptop did not recognize the battery and that it would not charge. There was no battery icon on the desktop. I left it plugged in overnight. An amber light kept blinking on the outside of the case. When I unplugged, the laptop turned off and would not start. Sure enough the battery had not charged! I returned the battery to the vendor, Brilliant Store and requested a refund of purchase price and shipping (both ways). Brilliant Store refunded only the purchase price. I am out $11.49 total shipping costs. Buyer beware!

I ordered one of these batteries, and it lasted about 2.5 charge cycles. I contacted the vendor, who replaced it. The second one lasted about 2.5 charge cycles, too. I appreciate the vendor's efforts, and can recommend the vendor, however, the battery itself seems fatally flawed.

I read the reviews on this battery and chose to ignore the complaints of previous customers! I normally operate my computer from my office and I don't rely heavily on battery power. But, within weeks, I could see that the battery could not operate the computer for more than hour. Now, after 90 days, the battery is completely dead! What a waste of money!

I bought this for my Inspiron 9300. After many years of faithful service the battery was finally going. I figured I could save some money buying this third party replacement for 30% of the price of the dell brand battery. I got it just before a trip, I installed it and let it charge for a whole day and night. It fit a little tighter than the original, but it went into the battery bay no problem. The charging process was uneventful. I left on my trip and used it during a long layover. It seemed to hold a charge for less than 2 hours. After 2 weeks it did not hold a charge any more. Not even enough to let me shut down the computer after a power failure. My old battery still could do that. DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!

I read a review that warned about a poor product that did not work. I gave this manufacturer the benefit of the doubt. Now, 7 days after my return window expired, the battery I purchase no longer receives a charge. It is a worthless chunk of plastic. DO NOT purchase a battery from this manufacturer. If you have purchased one of these, please urge Amazon to stop making this product available. This is the first things I have purchased from Amazon that is junk. I will be more cautious in the future.

Service was great! Product sucks! Battery was fine for a couple weeks and now will not hold a charge.

Came 85% charged. I've used it now for a month and it seems to hold the charge well.

It looks identical to the original, but does not fit properly and does not work either.

We've had the battery for approximately one (1) month. The battery fit the laptop with no issues. Best of all, the battery lasts so much longer than the original battery, although it's difficult to say what the old battery performance was when it was new. Essentially, using the laptop for extended periods (i.e. 3 - 4 hours) is now painless.
