5.0 out of 5 stars Text Book Review (end of semester), January 29, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was not looking forward to my course in Quality Managment.
I have completed chapter 8 (late January) The book is very well written and very readable. I an happily surprised with how well the author presents the chapter topics.
This is probably the best (written) textbook I have read in the past three years. I hope the rest of the book is as equally well written.

There is no plan to change my major to Quality Engineering. If all Quality books were written this readable, I might.

Add in:
After finishing the semester and the book, I continue to be impressed with the authorship of the book. I upgraded the rating from 4 to 5 starts and highly recommend the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good overview, but not much for tools and statistics., August 7, 2008

The text was a good overview of total quality management principles verse a traditional approach; however, I would have like to see more information on quality tools and statistical analysis.

4.0 out of 5 stars I will refer back to this text book often, May 14, 2007
This has turned out to be a great text book. I am sure I will refer back to it often. Initially, I was a little intimidated by the size of the book and small print. However, it is easy to read. The summaries at the end of each chapter are very helpful.
