The book is a huge asset to this class! I would strongly recommend anyone taking Analytical Chemistry to buy the solutions manual also!

Quantitative Analysis is probably most Biochemistry students' worst nightmare, but it was the most rigorously scientific class of any of those required for the major. If you can't handle "Quant", you aren't a scientist. You may be able to weigh a sample. You may be able to pipette a few microliters here and there. You may be able to write up a report on the results of your experiments. But without an understanding of the principles in this book, you do not have any idea what the actual quality of your conclusions is, and any true professional who reads your report will note the lack of quantitative and statistical support for your conclusions and therefore disregard them.

Study hard, and understand this book. I spent hours per day for an entire semester absorbing this book (or rather, the text book, with this book assisting me), which one of the best text books I've encountered (though there are a few typos/mistakes in some of the exercises).

I've done several problems using the text and then checking them with the solution's manual and I've found SEVERAL mistakes. It's quite annoying when you want to check your answer, and you think you've done it wrong because the solutions manual says otherwise - but then rechecking your work and asking the professor, and finding out that after all that time, you've been right is just plain tedious and a waste of time. The solutions manual even had a equilibrium constants wrong... They have an appendix in the text book of all the values listed and they still have incorrect values? I'm not paying $30 to play error search in a solution's manual. But other than that, the book does go through some of the problems pretty detailed so you can follow along and learn how to do them.

The book arrived quickly and is in great condition. no complaints. Would buy from this seller again.

This is a fairly good quantitative analysis book. However, there are no color pictures in the book. The book also seems to go into a lot of detail about some things that may never be tested on a test such as the ACS test. For example, sometimes it includes a lot of detailed information about outdated analytical instruments.

i got this book for much less than i would at my local bookstore and campus store! thanks a lot!

The book was in great condition and it was really good condition. I paid for two day shipping. I ordered it on Wednesday and should have gotten it on Friday but I didn't get it until Monday or Tuesday afternoon. I watched the order tracker and it was in the warehouse ready to be shipped to me on Wednesday but it didn't ship till Thursday so I didn't get it till Monday or Tuesday.
