Expensive, but effective,

All I can say is THESE ARE AWESOME. I get canker sores a few times a year, and the constant irritation and pain make me turn into a grouchy monster! I have tried everything over the years... salt water, oragel type stuff, even mouthwash for canker sores... sometimes these things give relief for a few minutes or an hour, but it always comes back.
Canker cover is the first product I have used that actually completely gets rid of the pain and also helps heal. They don't last as long or work as fast as the package say... I usually have to use the covers for more than 24 hours before the sore is completely gone, but after 1 day you can tell it is WAY less painful and recovering. The best part is just wearing them -- they are like little pillows over your canker sores. You can eat chips, spicy food -- whatever -- and feel absolutely nothing. The covers stick pretty well and don't come off accidentally. Yes, they are pricey- but as soon as I feel a canker sore I grab one of these and dot it on. It is WORTH EVERY PENNY! Also, just FYI... it always burns me for the first 2-3 minutes or so, but then you get 4-5 hours of NO PAIN so I deal with it.

Must-have if you suffer from canker sores,

I'm giving Canker Cover a 5-star rating because it's the best product out there to treat painful canker sores, and nothing else even comes close.
I've suffered from these small, painful sores since I was a child, and I had actually been praying for a "cure" for them when my husband brought these home from Rite Aid a few years ago. I sometimes get 3 or 4, even 5, sores at a time, and often it is painful to even talk. Prior to discovering Canker Cover, I had to call in to work a couple of times due to the pain of trying to talk (I'm a reporter) and the embarrassment of conducting interviews while having swollen lips. I'd tried Kanka (the next best thing), salt water, and I even kept a bottle of Maalox in my desk drawer to rinse my mouth and give a minute of relief. I'm sure every canker sore sufferer out there can relate and share similar stories of desperately trying SOMETHING. Thank God, CankerCover works! They are small, flat tablets that you can break in half or cut in pieces. You dry the sore and put a patch/cover (white side down) on the dry sore, pressing about 20 seconds. It will be painful or uncomfortable at first, depending on the size and age of the sore. The patch sticks to the sore, covering and protecting it and releasing natural menthol to help the sore heal. Within a couple of minutes of application, the pain is gone and you feel complete relief! You can eat and drink without any pain at all. The patches stay on for 8 or 12 hours. They get really gelatinous (think of a small glob of firm, menthol Jell-O covering the sore) and they really stay in place once they are stuck onto the sore. The package says that one patch will heal one sore. If you get the sore right when it starts, one patch seems to do it. If the sore is older/larger, one patch will dramatically reduce the pain of the sore, but it will take one or two more to heal it. (Still, it cuts the life of a huge sore in half, and it makes older sores MUCH less painful!) Some tips: Once the patch is wet, it will NOT stick. So if you put on a patch and it doesn't stick because the sore was wet, you have wasted a patch. Another reviewer wrote that he got more bang for his buck by cutting the patch in half if the sore wasn't too big, and I agree. That way, if you mess up, you have another half-patch to work with. I think it's better to use CankerCover while you're sleeping. They are too "blob-like" to use during the day if you have to go to work and if the sore is on the front of your mouth. But they stick like crazy once you've gotten them stuck on the sore, and I've slept with them all night. When I wake up, they are still covering the sore. I just can't say enough good things about CankerCover. They work, they work, they work. Please, if you suffer from canker sores, run to Rite Aid or Walgreens and grab a pack! You will not be disappointed. This product has really changed my life. I don't panic now if I get canker sores, because I know that relief is only one night away.

I have suffered with canker sores for as long as I can remember and canker covers are the only product out there that actually helps in the healing process. I would absolutely recommend them, however, I found out the hard way that you shouldn't use these during the day, when you have to go to work, talk to people etc... they can become a mess in your mouth once it begins to dissolve, it turns into a gel like substance that starts breaking up in your mouth... I put them on as soon as I see one's coming when I'm home winding down for the night.
Like another reviewer stated, I also break them into pieces, making the pack last longer, because it is quite pricey.

The Best OTC Solution Available,
This review is from: Quantum Health Canker Cover Oral Canker Sore Patch, Mint Flavor, 150mg, 6-Count Box (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
Make no mistake about it, Canker Cover is easily the best treatment I have encountered for reasons that other reviews have already stated. I feel like I should mention some issues though that prevent me from giving a 5 star rating. The patches adhere well if you dry the area and place it correctly the first attempt. If you miss the area, which often happens to me when the sore is in an awkward position, you basically have to use another disc entirely. They don't stick again at all whenever they've made contact with a wet surface already. This results in using more than one disc if you make a mistake and makes the pack even more expensive. A trick I've started using is to break the patch into three or more pieces if the sore isn't too big to get more bang for your buck. Also, it's possible I just have really bad canker sores, but it's very rare that one patch heals the sore like the box states. That said, I still go right for Canker Cover whenever I get a sore and you should too.

Finally something that works!,

I have tried everything - mouthwash, salt, Kanka, apple cider vinegar. Nothing works. My husband found these (God bless him), and I will never look back. I have used these on two occasions and both canker sores were in the front.
They adhere easily and well (my husband had more trouble with his on cheek in back - probably b/c harder to get area dry - must be dried well). They sting a little (depending on how irritated the sore is already), but nothing like salt, vinegar, etc. They take 30 minutes to change into a gel form. I do NOT recommend using during the day, where you have to interact with others, eat, drink. I can see how they would break off some and just be annoying. True they are bulky and can dissolve, but if you use them at night it doesn't matter how they look, feel, taste - you are asleep. My first canker sore had been there over a week, I used the covers for two consecutive nights and it was virtually gone - didn't hurt and disappeared within a day. By the first 8 hours the cover was on, I was able to eat and drink the next day without discomfort. After the second night, there was only a filmy patch that had no pain and was gone by the third day. The second sore I had only a few days, and didn't wait for it to exacerbate. The cover healed it overnight! If you deal with awful canker sores, get these; they will change your life. They sell them also at CVS and Walgreens, in case you need them pronto!

Life-changing for canker sore sufferers!,
This review is from: Quantum Health Canker Cover Oral Canker Sore Patch, Mint Flavor, 150mg, 6-Count Box (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I'm writing this review because I'm experiencing relief this very moment thanks to Canker Cover. :)
I've been suffering from canker sores for as long as I can remember, even as a young child. My lower teeth are a bit crooked, and there is a spot where I frequently bite myself while eating (don't ask...I don't understand it either!). It never fails that if I bite myself hard enough, I am filled with a feeling of sheer dread, because I can bet money on the fact that a canker sore WILL develop. One night, a few years ago, while surfing the web for a remedy to my intense pain, I stumbled upon Canker Cover, and decided it was worth a try. Some people think these are expensive, and honestly, I don't think they are. If you've ever experienced the pain that a canker sore brings, you know that relief is priceless, so I don't see $10 being unreasonable at all. I'd seriously pay three times what they cost for the relief they bring! They are truly the ONLY thing that works. I'm so thankful I took a chance and tried them. They've literally changed my life. Again, canker sore sufferers...you know how horrible these are and how debilitating they can be. These made my life so much better!!! They look like a little flat pill or tablet...you simply dry the area, and then press and hold the cover on for 20 seconds, until it sticks on its own. It hurts a tiny, tiny bit when you first put it on, for just a few seconds. I am a huge wimp, so if it hurt, I'd tell you. These are nothing. When you know that the main ingredient is menthol, that helps you understand the slight sensation. I'd describe it as more of a cooling sensation than a painful burning. (I use these pretty early on, when the sore is 24 hours old or less...it would probably cause more discomfort if you were using it once the sore was more fully developed and painful. I can understand that.) The pill steadily takes on a gel-like substance, where it stays put for 8 hours or more (sometimes 12). I like to use them overnight, while I'm sleeping. I've used them during the day, when I'm at work, etc, and they are a bit cumbersome. I tend to have to slurp a little here and there, and no one wants to do that in front of people, hehe! The only suggestion that I have with these is to use them as early on as possible. If you catch it early enough, it will only take one to get rid of the sore. If you wait too long, you will most likely have to use a few. The other tiny thing I'd suggest would be trying Rembrandt's Canker Sore toothpaste along with having this in your medicine cabinet. It doesn't contain sodium laurel sulphate, which is a harsh detergent that I found was making my canker sores worse. I used to get canker sores quite a few times a year, and now it's very rare that I get them at all. Maybe once a year, if that? And if I do, they are quickly wiped out and no longer get as large as they used to. Trust me. I know the pain associated with canker sores...I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. These are the real deal, and worth every penny, and then some! I'll most likely be singing their praises for the rest of my life. :)

One of the best product discoveries of my life,
This review is from: Quantum Health Canker Cover Oral Canker Sore Patch, Mint Flavor, 150mg, 6-Count Box (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I never, EVER write reviews, but I wanted to get the word out about this product. I get a canker sore literally any time I bite my mouth or have any sort of abrasion. This happens on average about once a month, and they can get so awful I won't be able to eat anything but soup and water for weeks at a time (and even that is painful!) I've suffered from canker sores as long as I can remember and I have tried everything out there. There are numbing gels that come right off as soon as they get any saliva on them, creams that numb the area for about a minute and then go away, mouthwashes that have the same effect, home remedies that do nothing at all, and then some. I always said that someone needs to make a patch you can put over them so you don't keep hurting the sores with food!
Then lo and behold, one day walking through the drugstore I found Canker Covers. They were a new product and were a bit pricey, but as nothing I had tried over the years had worked thus far I decided to pick them up. Best. Decision. Ever. They are a round, hard tablet, sort of like a pill. In order to stretch them as far as I can I usually break the tablet in half and use half a cover for a sore. You apply one side to the sore with some pressure and it sticks. It strings pretty bad for a while but the pain subsides and then your mouth will be in heaven. It numbs it so the pain isn't nagging at you and you can eat ANYTHING! The only issue is that it's rather bulky and you may be prone to bite it while eating, which hurts BAD. But overall, one of the best products on the market today.

I've used these a couple of times now, with no good results. I have a canker sore right now, and used two patches. Not only do I still have the sore, but it's worse than it was before. Also, when the patch dissolves it turns into this big nasty wad of gel that starts breaking up...and then I end up swallowing part of it. Pretty gross.

They're okay, if you like cotton balls glued to the inside of your mouth,
This review is from: Quantum Health Canker Cover Oral Canker Sore Patch, Mint Flavor, 150mg, 6-Count Box (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
Even though these were considerably more expensive, I decided to give them a try. I normally use Zilactin, but the excruciating pain of applying the gel always makes me put it off and just live with the sore. Anyway, I tried these because it sounded simple and less painful. It was less painful than Zilactin, but still stung a good amount during application. The directions are slightly vague, and one thing they were not clear about is how the covers maintain their thickness. My current sore is on the inside of my lip, towards the top. My teeth are rubbing against it and it's extremely annoying. At least with the sore I could forget it was there until I tried to eat or drink something or laugh. There's no forgetting this thing is stuck inside your mouth. This is my first application and it seems to be working as far as pure pain goes, but it is very uncomfortable. Overall, I wish I'd simply stuck some Zilactin on it and powered through the sting.

Do NOT let the price of this product detour you from buying. Absolutely worth it's weight in gold. Anyone with kanker sores knows how miserable they can be. These little patches adhere like superglue and provide comfort like there is no sore at all. Kinda weird to apply at first but after a few minutes it forms a "jelly like" cover and relieves you from all your pain.
