Mal's favorite sidearm just got shinier. QMx is proud to offer this metal-plated, screen-accurate replica of the iconic sidearm carried by Captain Malcolm Reynolds of the Firefly-class transport, Serenity. Years of development have gone into creating this entirely new, non-firing replica of Mal's pistol. Using a mold of the original stunt pistol carried by actor Nathan Fillion, we've created a highly detailed piece, from the grips to the trigger to the barrel. Measuring 14" from the tip of the barrel to the back on the hand-painted simulated wood grips, our Mal pistol weighs in at just over a pound, giving it a solid heft. The body is cast in polystone and composed of several metal-plated parts, then painted and weathered to match the antique brass color of the original hero prop, prior to final assembly.

This is a beautifully scultped, highly accurate statue of the original pistol used in the show. It's based off the the stunt pistol, so don't expect moving parts. The base is perfect to display such a collectible, and even the box it came in, is cool enough for display. The gun itself has a bit of heft to it as well, and you can tell by it's weight and feel, it's very well made. It's everything I expected, and worth every penny. Great job, Quantum Mechanix.

This wasn't in stock back in July so I ordered it from a more expensive site knowing how fast these can sell out. The prop took longer to arrive from the other shop an arrived damaged. Notified the other seller and didn't till I request a return authorization. They were a little shady about the return but Amazon did notify me they were authorizing a refund. In contrast got this quicker, cheaper and in better shape. This is a beautiful prop. Bought a cast resin kit and the quality is below this prop and required no labor on my part. Just wish there were more available.

It's Awesome! This 1:1 ratio prop is very well constructed and an almost 100% accurate to screen piece. The light weight of it and non-cumbersome display stand make it easy to place in any collection. It is 100% awesome. Go brown coats!

Firefly fan in my life
And I'm a huge fan, too. This is a fine replica. Haven't really messed with it much but it's for display. I got a kick out of the box it came in and my friend really enjoyed it.
