I received my rod and reel combo today. I put the line on it and headed to the pond to test it out. This reel and rod combo worked excellent. The reel is as smooth as you could possibly get. I have other spinning reels that cost three times as much as I gave for this combo that don't handle as well as the Quantam. For the price this combination cannot be beaten. I highly recommend that you had better get you one before they sell out. Another thing I might add wal-mart can't beat this price, the reel alone cost more than the rod and reel together. Great buy for the money.

The pole I received was exactly what I expected. Shipping was good and packaging was done properly. Overall very satisfied with the product. Took the pole out the same day that I got it and it worked great. Got skunked that day but the pole and reel worked great.

This rod broke on the first fishing trip--I had got it in April for my husband for father's day & we finally went camping over 4th of July & so disappointed ---I hope I can return or exchange because it's past my 30 days but didn't expect this to happen so soon.
