This book is a very good reference for anyone working with atomic frequency standards, or for that matter alkali atoms in any context. Included in this mammoth 2 volume reference are discussions not only of the details of various atomic frequency standards, but also everything needed to calculate decay rates and matrix elements for the alkali atoms. It is really too bad that the price makes it inaccessible for most of its likely target audience.
