Anyway got to be the worst piece of junk made.
Walter Pinkham
Conclusion: This antenna works really, really well, is a breeze to install, and comes with a complete set of necessary hardware necessary for assembling the antenna.

Since the rotation feature didn't work for me, I can only pick up channels from one general direction.

I live in a hilly area of the San Francisco peninsula and I was a Dish Network customer. I got local channels, some movies, and lots of junk all for around $60 a month. I decided to cut the cord and put up an outside antenna. I selected this one.

It is very easy to assemble and can be done in about ten minutes or so. The antenna elements fold out so it's fairly compact and easy to take up to the roof. It comes with lots of cable and it is already connected to the antenna. You can have the unit up and working in around thirty minutes to an hour, depending on the length of the cable run, the stabilization of the mast, and tacking it flush to your outside wall, then through the wall. ALL the necessary hardware, and cable routing clamps are included.

The acid test was turning it on and having my wife operate the remote control box so while I was on the roof I could verify that it did rotate a full 360 each direction. It did.

I tried an indoor antenna that cost twice as much and only got a few channels. With this antenna I am getting upwards of thirty (even some stations that are over sixty miles away). Reception is crystal clear.

In addition to the antenna you may need some or all of the following:
--1 Antenna Mast (depending on your location you may need a couple to get some height, in which case you'll also need fifteen to thirty feet of guy wire, three guy wire mounts to put on the mast to stabilize the mast and antenna. You will also need mounts to attach the wire to the roof. These usually screw into the roof (opening the possibility of leaks. If you're screwing these guy wire mounts get some of the calk roofers and antenna installers use and apply liberally around the spot where the mount screws into the roof.

I was able to receive several local TV stations using this antenna mounted outdoors. But for a normal outdoor installation, it will NOT work right out of the box. There are a few quirks that make it difficult to use, unless you are mounting it indoors and connecting it directly to the included control box right at your TV:

- The cable connected to the antenna has a non-standard connector on the end. It looks a lot like an RCA connector, but the dimensions are NOT the same. Because of this, it can ONLY be connected directly to the included control box. (If you plan to mount the antenna outside and connect to a coax cable running through your exterior wall, this will be a problem...read more below for what I did to make it work.) The included cable is not removable.
- As some other reviews have stated, the antenna does NOT receive anything unless it is powered by the control box. If you plan to connect the antenna to more than one TV using a splitter, the splitter needs to be downstream of the control box. Alternatively, the control box has two TV outputs, so you won't need a splitter unless you have more than 2 TV's or your house layout makes it easier to run one cable out of the control box and have a splitter somewhere else. You may be able to put the splitter upstream of the control box if your splitter allows DC power to pass upstream to the antenna (look for a label like "powerpass" on your splitter), but I suspect that only the TV(s) downstream of the control box get the full signal strength since there seems to be a signal amplifier in the control box.
- The rotation feature did NOT work for me.
