This just might be the perfect everyday-carry flashlight,
This review is from: Quark Mini AA 1XAA 90-Lumens CREE XP-G S2 LED Pocket Flashlight Black
This one is an easy 5-stars. What a great little light! It's hard to appreciate just how small it is until you actually get it in your hands, but for a flashlight the size of my index finger, it performs like a full-size flashlight. The hot spot is the largest I've seen in an LED flashlight, and the spill area is huge, so it's perfect for close-up work or if you're lighting up the ground as you're walking. It also features the smooth, artifact free beam that the Quark series is known for.Fit and finish of the light is excellent. The head and body mate well together with no thread play or wobbling, and the action is silky smooth. It's easy to operate with one hand, yet it's still tight enough that it won't twist apart or turn itself on in your pocket. It's also waterproof and survived a 15-minute immersion test in a sink full of water, so no worries if the MiNi gets wet. I really like the interface, too. It sensibly turns on in low, and a simple on-off-on changes modes (low to medium to high). It also has the special "blinky" modes (strobe, SOS, beacon) that some people like, but they're "hidden" in such a way that they're easy to access if you want them but won't get in your way during normal operation since it's pretty much impossible to activate them by accident. Another great feature is that it's powered by a single AA battery which are inexpensive and easy to find pretty much anywhere in the world. Surprisingly, it can also be powered by a AAA battery in a pinch. It's not specifically designed for this, and the battery rattles around a bit, but it's a nice last-resort option. This is one of those rare products that gets everything right and does nothing wrong. I have no complaints at all. It's a fantastic light.

What can I say that has not been said about this light? It is amazingly bright for such a small package. The beam is solid and does not have any dark and light spots like most flashlights.Fit and finish is top notch. I have carried it in my pocket for the last couple of weeks and it has not come unscrewed once. The coating is tough as it is tossed in my pocket with a knife, jewelers loop, usb drive, and a bunch of change and does not have a scratch on it.

This is a great little flashlight with lots of features. It is reliable and sturdy; made by a great company. Great for a pocket or around the neck or anywhere else. Doesn't have momentary on but still a great light. Super bright and uses AA which is very common if you run out. Get it.

Great material and build quality. Lo, mid and High mode provide the flexibility needed for EDC use. The rest of modes are hiden so they dont get in the way unless you really want them. The twisty switch is a little bit stiffer than i would like but it does the job once you get used to it.Light has a very nice (slightly warm) tint with great color rendition. It seems to me a bit dimer than the specified rating and due to it's slightly wide beam it doesn't throw too far, but perfectly usable for EDC. Overall one of the best choices for EDC within the price range.

This easily replaces and outperforms my three-battery Mag-Lite I've been using for ~10 years. Despite considering myself a gadgetphile, this is my first LED flashlight. It's made solidly, although a little lighter and thinner than I expected. What it lacks in ruggedness it certainly makes up for in size and features. (And I never would expect many features in a flashlight!) I can hold this thing in my mouth while working in tight spaces, so I suppose the light weight is helpful in that case.I'd definitely consider another Quark flashlight, and can't wait until I have some excuse to get a bigger and more powerful one that'll make the sun obsolete.

Weighs next to nothing, fits perfectly in a pocket, runs on an easy to obtain AA battery.I currently use a USBCell rechargeable AA to power this bright little light and it seems to work well. I've had the light for about a month now and use it off and on nearly every day at work. I've only had to charge the battery once when I first got it. If you need a durable, bright, easy to carry light, you are looking at a perfect option.

I purchased the MiNi AA to replace a Fenix E01 Compact LED Flashlight which has been my EDC light for about a year now.The MiNi is slightly larger, but man oh man is it worth it! The light output is fantastic, and it emits a much whiter beam than the E01. I also love having different modes for intensity and the flashing modes are great too in an emergency. This is my first 4sevens light, but I am already eyeing the MiNi 123 as possibly an even more perfect EDC light. I'm just not sure about the pricey and difficult to find CR123 batteries. The nice thing about the MiNi AA is that AA batteries are EVERYWHERE and they are cheap. Being a flashaholic though, I'll probably order the MiNi 123 as well just to have both. I don't have any CR123 lights so this might be a good place to start. I'll post a comparison if I do actually order the 123 as well. For now though, I am perfectly happy with my MiNi AA. It's bright, easy to use, and carries well in my front pocket (even in dress pants at work). 4sevens really did a great job here.

While not as powerful or small as the CR2 and CR123 celled units, you can get batteries for this dude ANYWHERE for cheap! I find I use this light more because 100+ lumens is not really that necessary for most applications. Buy it!

This little light is great and easy to use. It is now my edc light and a worthy contribution too. It is a little bit bulkier than the Fenix it is replacing but the 90 lumens and strobe function is well worth the additional weight/bulk.

Great Every Day Carry light. Small and has enough light. Can be made brighter by switching from standard AA to LS 14500 Battery( will void warranty). [...]
