Helpful book on how to use a powerful tool
I work as a copy editor at a newspaper, so I needed a book which would help me get started real quick! I played around a bit with Quark years ago, but I really needed it fleshed out for my understanding. This book explains all the basic tools in Quark, and gives some good technical tips. I just wished it could have also given some advice on decent layout design. I keep...

Useless
Master Pages...one of the most useful bits of QuarkXpress. Does this book explain how to create them? NO! Very disappointing.

Quark is a huge, complex program, and every guide book will have certain limitations of scope. Having said that, I highly recommend this guide for beginner or pro, since it covers the subject matter with unusual clarity.
