5.0 out of 5 stars Great intro to Quark, December 12, 2006
This review is from: QuarkXPress 7 Step by Step Training (Plastic Comb)
The text book here presented as well as the hands on class are very clear & consice, taking you truly step by step through the learning process. They only thing better than this book would be taking the class in person at Nobel Desktop's facility in New York City. Both the book & the class are worth every penny and minute of your time. Great investment in your future as a graphic designer!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quark is Easy to Learn, March 20, 2007
This review is from: QuarkXPress 7 Step by Step Training (Plastic Comb)
I came here specifically to write a good review about the QuarkXpress
training book from Noble Desktop. It's great! I'm not sure why the
gentleman below didn't learn how to put together a book, since this
workbook has step by step instructions on how to create a 120-page
book! And it's amazingly easy. Quark is a pretty easy program, I just
needed someone to walk me through all the steps without having to
figure them out myself. This book showed me how to do simple things,
but also major things like a magazine cover, a few different magazine
articles, a poster, and of course the 120-page book. I highly
recommend it, and I plan on getting Noble Desktop's InDesign book as
well.

3.0 out of 5 stars QuarkXpress 7 Step by Step Training, February 18, 2007
This review is from: QuarkXPress 7 Step by Step Training (Plastic Comb)
If someone wants to learn QuarkXpress for the purposes illustrated, this is a good way to accomplish a first time get up to speed ability. If on the other hand, if one wants to learn the program for the purpose of putting together a book, as I am doing, this product will only be a waste of time. I have found an array of eBooks that give me what I need without having to learn all the features of this extraordinary program, and believe it or not, I am now suffering from the program not wanting to export to pdf. So, I have abandoned QuarkXpress, and I am now using Adobe InDesign now for my DTP needs.
