4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea
Works great. Very frustrated with wiping it clean until I discovered that RUBBING ALCOHOL works perfectly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless As a Dry Erase
While the concept is great, once I wrote with the "dry-erase" pen it would not wipe off without using the special solution. The Boone brand (which I purchased to replace this) is much better, although the magnets don't stick too well on that brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Functional Organization, August 22, 2006
By
These calendar strips have a prominent place on my refrigerator and at my desk. I have two sets, and keep five weeks at home and use three at work. I get a rolling view of the next several weeks, and don't have to wait until a month is over to see the next month. If you want a calendar as a reference for what you have been doing, then they probably aren't for you, but then again, the dry-erase style isn't permanent anyway. If you need something to make sure you keep track of upcoming events, these are awesome.

The dry-erase marker comes with a magnet holder that keeps it handy. There's plenty of space to write in each day, and I like having the weekend days set apart by the arc design. Color-coding for different family members is easy if you get a few more markers. The only quibbles I have are minor. A couple of the strips were a little warped and didn't stick very well. But they flattened out over time, and now cling just fine. One of the strips has a rough spot that's a little hard to clean if you write over it. But they're not expensive, so I'll probably just buy a spare pack to use as replacements for any strips that get messed up. I like the functionality a lot, and recommend them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought These Before Under The Boone Name....., June 28, 2009
This review is from: Quartet Week Over Week Calendar Board Magnets with Dry Erase Markers, 12-707032Q (Office Product)
This is the same magnetic dry erase calendar I currently have under the brand name Boone. The company name has changed from Boone to Quartet, but the product is the same. I am purchasing another set, as I damaged one of the weekly panels, and was looking to get a replacement set locally, but none of the office stores here carry them anymore. I like these calendars, they are very convienent, good strong magnets, and large daily blocks to write most things in. Clean the calendar with rubbing alcohol (main ingredient in dry erase cleaning sprays), and I recommend getting the Expo fine point dry erase markers from Wal-Mart to use, as the fatter markers don't really allow you to write legibly.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful item, July 22, 2006
By
I have had a set of these for about a year now, and I and my family use them constantly. It's a great tool for spotting scheduling conflicts (keeping the whole family's schedule in one place in the kitchen on the fridge). The magnetic feature is very strong, they're actually a little tough to move around on the fridge, but that makes them a sure stick and easy to write on. The squares could be a little larger, but if you abbreviate, the size of each square is fine for a family of 3 or 4. You get 4 different color markers, so that helps. The fact that each week is physically separate from the others makes updating easy. The only thing I dislike is that the edges of each piece are not sealed, so that after you've cleaned them a number of times, the fluid can start to seep in and make the edges a little, well, seepy. If the edges of each piece were sealed, I'd call this a perfect product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Organizating Tool, October 9, 2009

This review is from: Quartet Week Over Week Calendar Board Magnets with Dry Erase Markers, 12-707032Q (Office Product)
This is an excellent tool to keep track of "who has what due when", but also to teach your children forward planning. Every day, when the kids are given a forward assignment, they come in the door and write down the assigned task (for example - "spelling test") on the appropriate date. Each child has their own color, and they are able to understand when they have to do something ahead of time because they can see that they have too many tests on one day.

I would recommend getting a supply of thin tip markers (makes it easier to fit the info). Previous reviews suggested using rubbing alcohol for removing the dry erase marks - that is great advice.

The product arrived in the time frame I expected it, so I was pleased with that. I am an Amazon Prime member so delayed shipping times can be more annoying when you are used to getting your item quickly.

The only reason why I didn't rate this product 5 stars is the adhesive glue that is used to mount the dry erase boards to the backing cardboard is REALLY sticky. One of my kids accidentally put one of the weeks on top of another week that still had glue residue on the back. Consequently, the glue transferred to the facing of the board and removing it was time consuming and not completely successful. ALso, another dot of glue on the back was too close to the edge of the board so it made it too easy to separate the layers. Bottom line - these are minor complaints that would not allow you to buy the product, just be very patient when unpacking it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good organizer, January 1, 2009

This review is from: Quartet Week Over Week Calendar Board Magnets with Dry Erase Markers, 12-707032Q (Office Product)
I had purchased one of these from my local Meijer stores a couple of years ago. After a move and purchase of a new house I was sad to find NOTHING in my new kitchen was magnetic. I had no way to hang it up, so I tossed it. I soon found I'd become too dependent on it and needed to find a way to hang it. Velcro tape to the rescue!

I purchased a new one here and am back in the organizational swing of things.

Being able to pull the past week off, and always have the current week on top is just fantastic. You always know what is coming up, without a sudden surprise from turning the calendar to find you've got an important appointment on the 1st. If you've got something going on early in the month you've got three weeks notice!

Two problems I've run into. The old one purchased at Meijers had something smeared on the back of one of the weeks. It ended up on my fridge and was a real bugger to clean off. The current one is VERY difficult to erase. I could almost swear they sent me a sharpie instead of dry erase marker. But I've tried other dry erase markers and they have the same problem. It's a little inconvenient but worth it still.

1.0 out of 5 stars I'm not impressed...., November 16, 2008
By
This review is from: Quartet Week Over Week Calendar Board Magnets with Dry Erase Markers, 12-707032Q (Office Product)
Let me preface this review by saying that I've been using a similar product by this company that I was completely happy with. Be that as it may...

First of all, the item sent is NOT the item that is pictured and that I thought I'd be receiving. It's similar, but not exact. Strike one.
Next, the marker that was included lasted about a week and a half. Strike two.
Then, the white surface seems to absorb the dry-erase ink, requiring that each and every time I wish to erase, it MUST be done with some sort of liquid solvent to remove the 'ghosting' that takes place. Strike three!
Think twice before buying this one, folks.

I was very excited to get this product, as I thought the idea was awesome. But once I received it, it was only to be highly disappointed: the board would not erase. And when it did after many effort, it would leave a big smudge of ink. If it is that difficult to erase now, what would it be once it gets a bit older! I would definitely not recommend this calendar. Such a shame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this product, February 27, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have had this calendar on my fridge for over 2 years now, and I love it. I like that the weeks rotate, so I can always see what's coming up next. Other (static) calendars only show one month at a time. Now that our family has grown and life is more hectic, I'm going to buy another one so I can see up to 8 weeks at a time. This product is genius - I only wish someone had thought of it sooner.
