I am a college professor, and I use colored chalk often in class. The department typically has crayola chalk. Crayola colors will not erase from a board easily, however, and that can cause huge headaches. These chalks show up nicely on all boards that I've ever used, and the colors erase entirely with a single swipe of the eraser. My only complaint is that they are quite soft, and thus break easily. On the other hand, I think this is related to their erasability. If that's the price to pay, I'll gladly pay it. If you want your kids' driveway art to survive the next rain, use crayola. Otherwise go for these. They are the only ones I've ever found that erase satisfactorily.

I teach all levels of undergraduate math course, and feel that this chalk (or a close equivalent) is a must. The colors pop wonderfully to highlight text or create easy-to-read illustrations. Not only are the colors bright, but they're distinct. Blue and purple are easy to tell apart, and orange is extremely distinct. Yellow and white look nothing alike. Finally, this chalk erases easily, and leaves only minimal ghosting behind.
The chalk does break easily, so you should be careful when writing with it. However, it's never posed a serious problem to me.

I bought these to use on my menu chalkboard and love the selection of colors, i.e. medium blue, cherry pink, pistachio yellow, mint green, lavender purple, brown and white. The black plastic tray that they sit in is attractive to display and has a clear protective cover over it. I will order these again when they run out.

I don't know if it's because of how the chalk came to me, which was quite broken, or if it's the nature of the chalk itself. When I use this chalk it ends up all over my hands, unlike other colored chalks that I've used. It also leaves a heavy coating of dusty color on the board after erasing. It's vibrant, bold chalk, but not the low dust solution I was looking for.

While I love the colors of this chalk. The sizes are not standard and would not fit into the chalk holder that I purchased. So if you are using a chalk holder, you may not want to get this brand of chalk.

The chalk may be fine, but it arrived in pieces! It came packed in a book mailer without any padding, and of course every piece but one (the white one that I really didn't need to have in a pack of colored chalk) was broken in half!

I use this chalk for biology, where many things are color coded. This chalk erases easily, colors are vivid, and does not make any noise when writing. I highly recommend.

The chalk came wrapped in a bubble lined manila envelope. I guess that wasn't enough to keep them from breaking. Several of the pieces of chalk were broken.

This is chalk, what can I say about it? It works, the colors are nice, but the packing along with Amazons toss-in-the-box packaging caused most pieces to arrive broken. Better off to buy your chalk locally I guess.

This product will come to you in a million little pieces. I opened the box to a disaster. Please see my attached photo. The need to learn to tape this box!
