4.0 out of 5 stars Quartet, December 21, 2002

This review is from: Quartet (Audio CD)
I have several other Metheny recordings, but this is probably now my favorite. The CD is a real dichotomy, between some of his best work, and some of his most "experimental". The first six tracks, and the final three tracks are outstanding, with tracks 14-15 arguably his finest ever. The interplay between Metheny and Mays is at its best - very similar to Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue".

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply amazing quality!, April 14, 2000

Wow, this is the first time i listen to a 24-bit recording CD and it was great. The music is great. Anyone who loves Metheny and enjoys quality sound&music will surely love this cd. I'm not sure what exactly makes it so clean (maybe the gold?), but it sounds absolutely amazing!
