My vet said to get one for my overweight cat. It works great and gets him moving.

A not so good pointer
This pointer is rather chintzy. It does work, but the poor construction makes one think it would break under pressure. I ended up keeping it merely as a back up- did not seem worth sending back. There are better ones available.

Cheap Plastic Not Aluminum -- False Advertising,

Advertised as "Heavy-duty anodized aluminum casing" but turns out to be really really cheap, flimsy plastic. ANY pressure at all on the battery cover causes it to deflect and make a cheap plastic sound. This pointer might withstand an accidental drop onto a hard floor once, but not twice. Laser itself is bright and does its job, but durability is just not there. Go buy something else.

this laser is built pretty good and i bought it to pot mod it and pop balloons i opened it up wich was easy and there was no pot the internals are the same as a dollar store laser not worth the price.

The kitties are happy. It's easy to grasp and it doesn't really hurt your fingers after hours of use and uses AAA batteries. I think my fat cat is starting to loose some weight. Now I'll need to up her diet.
