Yes, this was quite a surprise. To hear one of my heros ( Hermeto) of brazilian music side by side with other well known youngsters (such as Airto) in 1967(!) and already displaying such quality in the compositions, arrangements and, of course, great playing skills...i was just intrigued while listening to this. Don't expect the fireworks that would come later in the Hermeto catalog. Instead there's a quiet kind of fusion of brasilian folk, jazz and clasic styles, performed with penache and passion. Recommended if you like any of the artist mentioned.
