5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT STUFF October 9, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
hmmm....there's ska, a bit of punk, metal, rap, pop, and some good country rock and roll stuff found here. Johnny Socko goes through every genre with ease. Of course the ska is a dominant undertone in every genre, there is a straight up hip hop/rap song (Old School Master), which is great because its not at all serious. its about old school video games. I love the MU330 influences (they're good friends im *guessing*). Dan Potthast even makes an appearance on "Sand between my toes." So this is HIGHLY recommended to MU330 fans. Track by track: There's the ska on song 1 (obviously one of the more catchy tracks), rock-ska on 2(one of the best on the cd), relaxed ska on 3(about coffee), rap on 4, more relaxed ska, fast MU330 stuff on 6, more relaxed ska, metal/punk/ska on 8, slow rock with a hint of ska on 9 (my fav.), good ol' rock and roll with a bit of country (no horns!!!) on 10 (still rocks), rock on 11 too. But what makes the cd great is the *easy to find* bonus song. I cant give anything away, but its damn FUNNY. You have to get this cd. HIGHLY recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Socko Takes Over The World! June 12, 2000
By "jes7o"

Johnny Socko has done it again, releasing their best and most important album to date. Quatro is a collection of unique songs that represent a number of genres, including rock, ska, rap, and metal. From the upbeat rhythyms of "Dancin' Queen" to the relaxing mood of "Coffee Girl" there is truly something for everyone on this album. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars love it! April 24, 2002

Johnny Socko pulls out all the stops with this one! Not only are they my favorite band, but this is definatly one of my favorite of their albums. Not only do you get a chance to hear them rock out (you really must try to catch this band live as the repitore of covers they can pull off at a moment's notice is amazing) but you get to hear them pull off slow stuff as well. My personal favorite is "Rocks in my Head" but I'm a fan of Old School Master and Dancin Queen as well. Do yourself a favor and check out this CD, you won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars No Worries about this cd! July 10, 2001
Format:Audio CD
this is one of the greatest CDs i own. partly becasue they are one of my favorite bands and partly becasue of the diversity of the music on this CD. they have everything from ska to metal, country to rap, and punk to acoustic. no song sounds at all alike and they are all really great. i highly recomend this CD to anyone who likes high energy and high quality music from a band that rawks. they are also amazing live. i recomend going to a show if you ever get the chance to fully complete your Johnny Socko experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Quatro" is near perfect! June 11, 2000
Format:Audio CD
Ska never has had a big following in the US. Which is a shame because it's a fun, laid-back style of music to listen to. And while "Quatro" is not entirely a pure ska album, it's influences are clearly there, especially in the opening song, "Dancin' Queen", as well as in "Save Yourself" and "Hey Hey Hi". Other songs I liked were "Old School Master" and "Coffee Girl" Even if you've never heard of Johnny Socko, chances are you soon will. Listen to the samples provided and decide for yourself. I think you'll agree that "Quatro" is "muy bueno"
