Alejandro Fernandez is incredible ! The man has been gifted as few mortals have...a voice of amazing beauty and power, absolutely stunning looks, great stage presence...and the musical instinct and knowledge to put out CDs of total excellence, and this is one of his best. He sings with soul and passion..listen to his voice soar in "Como Quien Pierde una Esrella" ! Other favorites include "Llorando Penas", "La Mitad que me Faltaba" (what romantic lyrics !) and "El Potrillo" which is about his heritage (his father is the legendary Vicente Fernandez) and his music. If you like Mexican music, This is one to treasure for many years to come.

Prior to his romantic hit album "Me Estoy Enamorado," Vicente Fernandez' gifted and handsome son was a more traditional Mexican Ranchera-genre singer. This album is the best of the earlier CDs. You'll find yourself singing along even if you don't speak Spanish. Alejandro has one of the most beautiful male voices in the entire world of Latin music. In addition, the lush production and fine playing by the mariachis supporting the singer make this a gem in the treasure chest of contemporary Mexican music.

Alejandro Fernandez's powerfully rich voice makes this album a true pleasure. Though not at all similairly musically, in sentiment, I look at him as the Mexican equivalent to a Marvin Gaye or Otis Redding. A man just singing his heart out about his loves and his women, and is not afraid to show the pain he is feeling. The lyrics are first rate, especially in "La mitad que me faltaba." "Como quien pierde una estrella" is a rousing number that is great for singing along with friends

Alejandro Fernandez is one of the greatest singers of modern Mexican music. In my opinion he is one of ranchera's top three, the other two being the immortal Vicente Fernandez and Pepe Aguilar. Alejandro has inherited his father's vocal talents and is an amazing talent. Songs such as "Como quien pierde una estrella" are big hits and have beautiful lyrics. I hope a lot of people buy this and realize what a great singer this man is. Have a great day!

I just love this album I have to say my favorite song off this album would have to be El Potrillo. I love that fact that Alejandro sang a song about how much he really admires his father. And I think he has already caputured everybody's heart just like his father. I know he has caputured mine.

This CD is without a doubt, one of the best ones I have ever heard. The music has great melody and the lyrics (like every CD from Alejandro) are top of the line. With hits like "Come quien pierde una estrella", this CD is a must. And for those guys who wish to conquer the heart of that special one, the lyrics of "La mitad que me faltaba" and "Que sera de mi" will melt any heart. This is plainly a well-rounded CD, a great CD.

It will be a crime if you don't listen to this singer. He voice is wonderful, the music WOW. You will fall in love!!! I am a Bilingual Mexican American and enjoy almost every song on this CD. My wife who speaks no spanish also enjoys most of the songs on this CD.

His rich tones and the music just takes you AWAY! So tasteful, absolutely the best in mariachi. Again, the lyrics are fun, upbeat - positive even in the most disapointing situations/relationships. Alejandro is simply a great blessing to the music industry. His talents can only be heaven sent! Bravo Alex!

A very special gal introduced me to the music of Alejandro Fernandez. Ever since than I've enjoyed his dark yet warm vocals, especially the early mariachi albums. This is his best cd, it's romantic, happy, and warm. Great album!!!
