The Didjits...Hot Damn!,
By "karma_diver" (Tallahassee, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Que Sirhan Sirhan (Audio CD)
This is the record that gives new life to "rock and roll" in the 90's! Nothing comes close to the blistering kick-ass sound of this Chicago trio. From the opening track "Agent 99", Rick Sims is on fire, punching out wailing riffs on his black SG Guitar and donning his signature flailing black shades. The highlights of this album definitely are "Judge Hot Fudge", "Spicy Little Outfit" and the killer track, "Fire In The Hole". Their cover of The Plasmatics "Monkey Suit" is a tasteful treat as well. Its sad how no one really knows of this bands existence, other than the cover of "Killboy Powerhead" done by the Offspring. If you want searing complex riffs, amazing raw energy and very catchy smart dumbness (or is it dumb smartness?) lyrics...Que Sirhan Sirhan is the ultimate album and you will NOT be disappointed!
