Awsome!,

This review is from: Queen Amidala Paper Doll (A Punch & Play Book) (Paperback)
I really think is a really cool book. Queen Amidala's outfits in the movie are beautiful! These pictures are not as good as the real thing but are a great substitute. I thought they could have been made a little better to last longer. But it's fine if you are leaving the book intact. I would buy one to play with and one to keep as a collector's item.

LAMINATE your paper dolls!,

I too have the Queen Amidalah paper doll book, and I agree with many others that the content is splendid but the quality really stinks. I can only say that Lucas should've got Tom Tiery to do it up right. But as he didn't, my suggestions is to have your set laminated! Check your yellow pages or buy your own kit at an office supply store.

I loved Queen Amidala's costumes in The Phantom Menace, but couldn't find any good pictures of all of them anywhere until I found this book. It has all but one (at least that's my count) of the beautiful costumes worn in the movie. There is even a seperate doll in the simple costume worn toward the end in the fight sequence after the return to Naboo. Each costume is also accompanied by a photo and quote from the scene in which they were worn. It would be a shame to tear them out and play with them as they would eventually be distroyed, but if that is the intent of them, I would reccomend glueing them to a piece of cardstock so they would last longer, and also buying an extra copy to keep in tact. Overall, I really love this book, the artwork is EXCELLENT too.

Beautiful costumes - shoddy quality,

Amidala's costumes are gorgeous, and there is a nice blurb for each regarding the scene in the movie it comes from. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the paper dolls themselves. They are printed on very thin cardstock, and are flimsy. This will present no problem if the book is kept intact for the purpose of collectibles. If this is bought to be actually PLAYED with, it will tear up too easily.

Star Waste,

Sorry, didn't like. Costumes hideous, punch-outs don't correspond with the drawings, thick white lines around the costumes, tabs aren't all in the right places to hang correctly on the doll and one outfit shows a third foot protruding. I can't believe this was supervised by George Lucas! Poor quality but it is cheap so it gets one star.
