I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was well written and interesting. If you enjoy fantasy....and letting your mind wander...and wonder...about other worlds or beings ~ then this is up your alley. A quick and easy read as the cadence of the writing flows nicely from chapter to chapter. Enjoy!!

This series is actually written for young adults, but it was a great read for me also. In the series, a young woman discovers that she is half elf and is actually the descendent to the throne of a group of elves based in the Bitteroot Mountains and forest. There is a radical group who don't want her to be Queen, a group of traditional elves who want her to be Queen but who want to control her, and another group of her friends (both elf and human) who just want to support her. The books speak a lot about the problems that occur when humans encroach on the forest to cause the natural balance to be lost. And, interestingly enough, about the positive uses of technology to help alleviate these problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series.
