This Whole Cd Is Great, i have no idea of what some of the people are complaining about, its a tribute cd your supposed to improv on the songs and not sing them like queen The Molotov Version of B.R. is awesome its lyrics are fun and funny, Fobia And soda Stereo also do a great job, i love the cd, you should get this cd if you like queen but specially if you like spanish...

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting translations...
Another curious release, Queen songs performed entirely in Spanish! Why then is the one Queen song in which some lyrics were written in Spanish ("Las Palabras De Amor") not included?Since it is a beautiful language, the ballads here shine such as "These Are the Days of Our Lives" and "Love of My Life", I can listen to these over and over.Then...

5.0 out of 5 stars A very professional tribute by talanted bands, April 19, 2004
This review is from: Queen En Espanol - Latin Tribute Album (Audio CD)
THIS WAS NOT THE USUAL TRIBUTES FROM LATIN BANDS. YOU WILL FIND IN THIS CD EXCELLENT VERSIONS WITH VERY GOOD LYRICS (TRANSLATIONS) OF QUEENS GREATEST HITS... BEST SONGS SO FAR IN THIS CD:

02. ATERCIOPELADOS - Play the Game (Juegale, Apuestale)
07. SORAYA - Save Me (Salvame)
09. FITO PAEZ - All Dead, All Dead (Se Fue, se Fue)
11. FOBIA - Under Pressure (Presionando)

THE REST OF THE CD HAVE PRETTY GOOD SONGS EXCEPTING ONLY THIS TWO:

04. El GENERAL - We Will Rock You (Nosotros Te Conmoveremos)
08. MOLOTOV - Bohemian Rhapsody (Rap-Soda y Bohemia)
(DISASTROUS VERSIONS!)

EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE OF SPANISH BUT IF YOU ARE A TRULY FAN OF QUEEN... YOU MUST HAVE THIS CD! IS VEEEERY GOOD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Es lo mejor!, January 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Queen En Espanol - Latin Tribute Album (Audio CD)
When I saw this album in the store I knew right away that I wanted to buy it for my Mexican brother-in-law. We both grew up in the 70's listening to Queen, he in Mexico and me in the United States, and he even had a video of their greatest hits! Never mind that he did not understand all the English lyrics, we both loved watching that video and listening to Queen's music. Then, after buying and listening to this CD and reading the translated lyrics, I came to respect Freddy Mercury and Queen even more. The way these groups have translated the lyrics and the music is masterfully done. (Each artist translated their particular song's lyrics themselves.) The production is faithful to the music of Queen, yet done with an unmistakable latin pop/rock flair. I like all but one of the 15 songs. (If you buy this album, you may guess which one it is.) In addition, most of these musical artists I was not familiar with at the time I bought the album. I have since, however, been pleased come to know and buy music from several of the artists featured on this album. I highly recommend this CD, esp. if you're into Queen and/or you're into Spanish language rock music. By the way, I never did get the CD to my brother-in-law, but I did record it for him.

MX Review (Guadalajara, MX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Queen En Espanol - Latin Tribute Album (Audio CD)
First of all I would like to say that making a Tribute to Queen is quite a bold and daring endeavor, however all the bands that participated in this one were up to the task, I know most people think the Molotov version of Bohemian Rhapsody is pure rubbish BUT you have to consider its Molotov and it is their particular style of music which by the way has set them as one of the most original contemporary Rock bands in Mexico (believe it or not I really like this version, quite cunning! you will specially enjoy it if you're fluent in Spanish as spoken in Mexico). A word of advice for all you Queen hardcore fans... If you're looking for superb quality that sticks to the original Queen style please don't try to find it in Tribute albums or even worse in Spanish Tribute Albums! Try grabbing any of the Greatest Hits Queen compilations out there (there are heaps!). I strongly recommend Aterciopelados' take on "Play the Game" (Juégale, Apuéstale), Soda Stereo's "Some Day, One Day" and Fobia's "Under Pressure" (Excellent!).

5.0 out of 5 stars Fobia era el mejor!!!, September 27, 2008
This review is from: Queen En Espanol - Latin Tribute Album (Audio CD)

5.0 out of 5 stars I tried to steal my sisters copy! Glad I could find it here!, September 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Queen En Espanol - Latin Tribute Album (Audio CD)
I tried to steal my sisters copy! An example of Queen's musical influence is evident on this complilation of covers by extremely popular international artists! Completely sold out at most local LA stores because of the variety of hit artists on this CD!

At first I thought the version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was fun. Now all I can think of is that if Korn of Limp Bizket (of however those idiots spell their name) sang in Spanish, THIS is how they'd do "Bo Rhap". Frightening!Since I know the lyrics by heart, I *can* sing along, regardless if it's in a foreign language.Simply, if you're a Spanish Queen fan, this is the album for you!
