This story had me engaged from beginning to end, finishing the book in a day. It was a wonderful, captivating read.

Jalila is this beautiful, successful day spa owner who seems to be living a good life...spare for a man to share it with. Lady luck seems to have abandoned her as far as finding a man who is her match. Every man she's met and dated, the night ends on a sour note, leaving her a bit jaded on finding a man, finding love.

Keenan is a dream walking/TV producer in need of a hit show for the fall line-up. He also had his problems with finding real love or even knowing what the fuss was about.

Jalila and Keenan eventually collide and borne from their chance meeting is a myriad of things: a show that might save his career and a chance for Jalila to find love that seems to have evaded her for so long, and hilarity and craziness ensues during their efforts of trying to get the show off the ground and finding Jalila the man of her dreams.

With the help of Keenan and with her two best friends at her side, Jalila embarked on a journey that took some unexpected turns, turns neither she or Keenan had expected, but led to love that came from an unexpected place and, in the process, created a potentially successful TV show along the way. One time where I've seen success and love go hand in hand, despite the bumps along the way. And, I think the story showed that love has the ability to find you in the strangest of places, that it never gives up on you even when you're ready to throw in the towel.

This story had the perfect mix of heartache, humor, passion and love. Every aspect, from the main characters to the secondary and even the two dogs, Cujo and Chips, had endeared themselves to me from the very beginning to the end of the story. If you're looking for a great romantic read to sweep you away from everything around you, this book will do that and more.

oft times I read reviews and everybody and their momma says that this was the best book 've read in a long time then I read that book and I'm like...wtf. But this book. This nook, this nook, this book. It's crazy good! UI read it all night and ended up missing work because I really wouldn't put it down. I'm about to start reading it again. It's realistic and cray funny. All the characters in the book was well developed. You know everybody inside and out. The whole concept was great and I would actually watch that show (counting out the fact that they propose in the end) I knew they were going to end up together because, well, it's a romance but I found myself surprised at every turn never nauseated by how unrealistic and far-fetched it is. I love this book!!!! I adore this book!!!! I hope that adrianne byrd is and stays consistent.

This book was so funny. Martina, Martina. She has my vote for best secondary character of the year! I've read a lot of books and this one I have to say was one of the best I've read in quite awhile. The main characters, Keenan, a tv producer and Jalila, a day spa owner, were well developed characters. The love scenes...smoking HOT! Adrianne Byrd has been a fav of mine for the past three years. Keep'em coming, Ms. Byrd.

I just discovered Adrianne recently and I am totally hooked on her books. They are funny, sexy, romantic. Would give all of her books 5 stars.

I really don't see how this book got all the 5 stars reviews. Characters were undeveloped and not believable. It seemed like one minute I was reading literary fiction and the next street literature. It just didn't make sense. The sex scenes were not done in good taste at all for this type of literature. Also,it was the typical cheesy love story with no twist.

If you want to read a good love story with twist, I'd suggest "One Man's Treasure-Charlene Green."

Jalila and Keenan's story is soooo gooood! Adrianne Byrd is not just a talented romance writer but I think that she is one of the funniest comedic writers I've read in a long time. This book is a perfect combination of both and had me laughing so much and so hard that I'm sure that some of my fellow train riders thought I might have (temporarily) lost my mind. A really fun and entertaining read.

Hilarious...that's all I can say, wait I can say more. How does Ms. Byrd come up with such funny storylines? Keenan and Jalila are exceptional (he can sneak out my window if he wants to), Jalila's friends Martina and Fantasia..crazy, and Keenan's friend Nitara..you my girl. This novel was the bomb because Ms. Byrd knows when to be funny and when to be serious. An excellent read.

This is my first time reading a book by Adrianne Byrd..This book was wonderfully written...It wasn't predictable nor boring. It actually captured you from the first page..The characters were hilarious!!!! Jalila's girlfriends put you in the mind of your own female circle be it girlfriends or family.....The guy of interest Keenen..His character was captured with little thought to this is just a book. He could have easily been someone you know....A good guy who has been broken. He is very easily your brother or homeboy that one wants the best for...You want him to find someone who appreciates the man he is plus you want and encourage him to give love another try...The don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch syndrome...All I can say is this a keeper!!! You Go Girl!!!

I heard about this book from some ladies in a bookclub that I'm a part of. They gave the book high praise... So I decided to read a few reviews on the book. Great reviews. Now, I know that some people just show favor to certain authors at times and give them 5 stars when the book really only deserves 3 OR 4, but I must say that I've never read a book by Ms. Byrd. I started reading this book at about 6:30 pm last night .... When I tell you I finished this book at about midnight (and still had to tend to dinner and house chores)!!!! It was THAT good. From the first page, I laughed my head off!!! And OMG THE LOVE SCENES..... All I can say is 'DAYYAAAMMMM!!!' This lady can tell a story like nobody's business. And the characters are SOOOOO believable and realistic. I'm looking for everything that lady has written now. I had no clue that this book would be as good as it was. The story was simply enthralling. I can't say enough about it. When you thought you'd figured out how the story would end, she took another turn. EXCELLENT WORK ADRIENNE BYRD. I'm a now a devoted fan (LOL)!!!!

OMIGOSH...What can I say that hasn't already been said about this DELIGHTFUL romantic treat...Ms. Byrd crafts another HIT with "Queen of His Heart"...the chemistry between Keenan and Jalila is HOT, HOT, HOT...quite a page turner from beginning to end...the dialogue is ENGAGING and witty...the storyline is thoroughly ENTERTAINING...and the full cast is HILARIOUS and unforgettable with all their WILD and crazy antics throughout...even Cujo & Chips will have you LOL...a HIGHLY captivating FUN and SEXY must read!!
