Another Page Turner!,
By Denise (Gastonia, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Queen Of Hearts (Paperback)
Once again Heather Graham didn't dissappoint this reader. Queen of Hearts is not only a wonderful love story but has plenty of suspense. I liked the way the book grabbed me in the first chapter and never let up. The story takes place on a luxury yacht and it enhances the romantic setting. Rhiannan has been tragically hurt in the past and Kiel is the perfect man to bring healing. The story becomes very suspenseful in the middle and I found myself biting my nails. I highly recommend this book!

My least favorite Heather Graham book,
This review is from: Queen of Hearts (Hardcover)
I LOVE Heather, but this was my least favorite EVER of her books. This guy was a Congressman???? And he is manhandling and threatening this lady card dealer on a cruise ship, which is supposed to be carrying world leaders for an important summit???? I don't even think a Kennedy or Bill Clinton would go that far. And to DEMAND that she "get over" the death of her husband and children, pretty much to the point of forcefulness? Was not a very believable plot. That said, PLEASE read other Heather Graham/Shannon Drake novels. Some are the best of the best!!!

If you like reading, "his painful grasp bringing tears to her eyes," OVER and OVER and OVER then this book is for you. Sure, it's a mainstay in romance literature for the cool-headed brooding hero to lose himself in passionate agony every once in a while and physically restrain the heroine, BUT ON EVERY OTHER PAGE??? Where's the romance in that?
This thing read like a really BAD Harlequin romance with WAY too much repetition. I also found the main characters unlikable because they never remained consistent--they were supposed to be hard and strong, but were basically weak and whiny. I thought I'd NEVER get through this book!

This was a great read. The suspense was good and so was the love story. I did figure out early who Dr. Glen Trivett was, but it was interesting to see how everything unraveled.

This was a good read.. Kind of funny because it takes place in the 80s I did have to laugh at the changes in technology and society since then.. BUT the story did grab me, I couldn't put it down and finished in the same day (don't tell my boss.) As a mother some of it made me tear up, but I guess that's the sign of a good one. And the story was good, I could discuss with my husband without feeling like a goober. (Romance novels are my guilty pleasure, I'll admit.)

This one is a winner for sure! The twist of fate put Rhiannan Collins and Congressman Kiel Whellen on a privately owned luxurious ship after terrorists rocked both of their lives, personally. The suspense in this novel is a real killer! You will love it!

Oueen of Hearts by Heather Gtaham, was a fun story. This is the second book I have read by this writer, and, I look forward to reading many more. She puts a lot of thought into the fun characters she creates. I like that.
