below average Regency, not enough romance..., August 29, 2007
This review is from: The Queen of Hearts (Mass Market Paperback)
From the back of book:
"Mallorie French, Countess of Haye, had been married once-and that once was more than adequate for her. After the death of her charming but faithless young husband, she was determined to enjoy all the single bliss that her title and fortune could grant.
Certainly she had no room in her new liberated life for a man like Tony Howell, the Viscount Rosslyn, whose pulse raising good looks and appetite for pleasure reminded her all too keenly of the husband who had given her everything but loyalty."
my review-the book started well but fizzled about halfway through, with boring side scenes, not enough interaction between the hero and heroine, and some fairly large implausibilities . I'd say skip it.
2 stars for a good try.
