5.0 out of 5 stars Review - The Queen Mother: A Royal Century, February 5, 2007
This was the woman feared by Adolf Hitler! The most noble of the noble, revered, loved, and an icon of stablity in times of war and peace. Her dislike for Wallis Warfield Simpson, the non-royal Duchess of Windsor, is most obvious. Above reproach, she was greatly admired and respected for the good that she did. A woman of steel and the stablising force behind King George VI. EXCELLENT!!

4.0 out of 5 stars For Queen Mother Fans--, April 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a DVD made from earlier films, when the Queen Mother turned 80 and then 90. So, no, it doesn't document her entire life until its end. This apparently was done on film for TV, so it's not as sharp, possibly, as something made originally for DVD. However, that's no real problem, one becomes accustomed in the first couple of minutes. And, of course, so much of the film and photography is from the distant past anyway. I particularly enjoyed the film footage of Queen Elizabeth from during the war and afterward. This is no comprehensive biography, but is an enjoyable visit with one of the dominant personalities of the last century.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Queen Mother Videop, September 24, 2007
I thought the video of the Queen Mother was good! It gave a general overview of the life of a icon in 20th Century Britain. I would reccomend this video to anyone who is interested in the British Monarchy.
