It doesn't get any better than this, soul-jazz wise. Tune #7, Moon of Manakoora, is a quintessential expression of a medium-tempo swinger--who says you can't dance to jazz?--with Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis and Shirley Scott in fine form. The CD also features "Soul Shouting" with Stanley Turrentine (who was once married to Shirley), among other funky jazz classics. If you like organ/tenor jazz, this would be a great addition to your collection.
