Boring!,

This review is from: Queen: Under Review 1946-1991 - The Freddie Mercury Story (DVD)
What an incredible disappointment! This is a boring and dreadful video.
The sound is awful and there is really no new material. Two of the speakers are nothing more than Freddie Mercury impersonators. Pass on this piece of nonsense and buy Queen Rock Montreal + Live Aid. I will always remember the way Freddie electified the audience at Live Aid.

"unauthorized" documentary not art, but nice for fans,

While certainly not essential viewing, this documentary does lay out a decent historical overview of the band's formation, artistic & commercial peaks and the effects of Freddie's AIDs diagnosis on the band & friends, which was officially kept under wraps until he died. You can see how the cult of Queen-dom continues to this day, infecting all sorts of personalities, and yes, some of the so-called experts are Freddie impersonators, including one who shows off his false Freddie teeth. I wouldn't spend a fortune to own this, and would suggest anyone interested be sure to get a real Queen concert DVD before delving into this. It's hardly the worst flick ever, but not a vital work either.
