Queen - Rock Montreal NR

(14) IMDb 8.6/10

The only concert by Queen that was ever shot on film. Always a great live band, with arguably the greatest frontman of all time in Freddie Mercury, they excelled themselves with the cameras rolling.

This was a concert and it is a traditional Queen rock the house event-
classic freddy mercury in his element- great fun. I you like Queen then you will
clearly enjoy this dvd. If you are on the fence or really easily offended by
sexual gestures, and not used to the live performances and the antics of freddy
mercury, pass.

In the day I was a fan. As Freddy/Queen wanna-be bands come and go my appreciation of Queen continues to grow. The "stadium" pieces rock hard but in the more subtle vocals one comes to see Freddy as a one of a kind talent. Very good production of a live show. With me it is always the music but I could watch this concert again and again (in fact, I have). In conclusion, whatever lifestyle Freddy chose was his business, his/their music is everyone's to enjoy.

Not the whole concert like the DVD. Don't buy if you want the whole concert. Ripped off in my opinion

This concert moves with the speed of a freight train, Mercury is unquestionably one of the best 'former' front men in Rock. A prolific musician, excellent stage presence and vocal range. To think Paul Rodgers of Bad Company toured as his replacement is frankly, unthinkable. Rogers is a great front man but never struck me as having any passion at all. Interesting that no one sings a Queen Song or a Carpenter's song on The Voice, wonder why???

A seminal rock film performance, nobody did it better live than Queen. If you like quality rock n roll you will love this!
