5.0 out of 5 stars Diamond Jubilee Must Have! May 10, 2012
This is not only a beautiful book with stunning photographs of The Queen's many visits to the United States, but offers insightful essays that address the shared values that she represents to the two countries. The Formative Years chapter was particularly appreciated as it gave the background for why she has dedicated her life to the people not only of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, but indeed the global community. The Diamond Jubilee is such an extraordinary historical occasion and this book is perfect for American admirrers of Her Majesty!

2.0 out of 5 stars I can't recommend March 6, 2013

I added this to my library on Queen Elizabeth II but am most disappointed. It really should be called "the Queen and Virginia." Large photos and reminiscences of various state notables. Bad quality photographs of the Queen. A vanity book.
