This review is from: Queen's Gift (Mass Market Paperback)
Inglis Fletch's QUEEN'S GIFT is the last of her outstanding historical fiction series, the Carolina series. Each book resounds with the early settlement of the North Carolina. Her stories of the settlement, adventure, and romance of the period ring with fact and truths, which serve as a guide for today's writers.
Adam Rutledge and his wife, Mary have stake their lives on the lands they have developed and a new nation stands on the threshold of creation. The story takes place during the period of the ratification of the newly written United States constitution and the questions that pertained to that great step. A must read for anyone who wonders why this very Constitution is being assaulted today from both sides, which have never rightly understood its significance. Good historical fiction can teach us many principals and concepts that have been smothered by history. Nash Black, author of Indie finalists WRITING AS A SMALL BUSINESS and HAINTS. |
