5.0 out of 5 stars Out of SightSeeing!
2 fantastic-for-the-real-fan dvd's with 2 nice fans showing us all the important historic places in London of the best band ever. Thrilled to see where they met, lived, played and so on.
The 2 blokes know very much about Queen. And for wonderful inside details we also see lovely FanClub-Jacky and the ever so nice Peter Freestone (Freddie's personal assistant) with...

This DVD is a real "Sleeper"! By far, the worst Queen documentary I have ever witnessed. I am a very knowledgable, long time Queen Fan who has seen all of the "liscensed" videos, and some of the others, like this one. When I heard about the documentary, I was very excited about the notion of seeing all of the Queen history, as well as a possible glimpse of the inside...

1.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Counting Sheep, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Queen's London (DVD)
This DVD is a real "Sleeper"! By far, the worst Queen documentary I have ever witnessed. I am a very knowledgable, long time Queen Fan who has seen all of the "liscensed" videos, and some of the others, like this one. When I heard about the documentary, I was very excited about the notion of seeing all of the Queen history, as well as a possible glimpse of the inside of Freddie's house. As the other reviewer had mentioned, the host, Paul Bird, really know his history. He talks back and forth with several guests, and it's almost like watching a contest on who knows more history! The audio story and anecdotes are very interesting and detailed, however long-winded and tranquilizing. There is more video of the people talking, than anything else!

The video and production of this dvd were very disappointing! Since Queen did not release this as one of their "liscensed" videos; it does not contain any Queen music, video footage, or more than 4 actual pictures of the band. The pictures that they do have, are repeated throughout the entire program. The backround music is all very "Queenesque", however none of it is Queen. The narrator's tease on visiting and showing you the outside of many, many buildings, however only show the inside of about 2. The biggest disappointment is visiting Freddie's home, after hearing about how amazing the inside is, only to witness the outside wall, as all fans have seen in the past!

Overall, this would make a decent audio cd if a fan is really interested into hearing the history of the band. However as a video, it leaves you disappointed with not tying in actual "detailed" visuals of what the narrator's are describing. If you just want to see the outside of buildings, with narration, you will be very satisfied. Other than that, you may be a little dissapointed! Sorry!

The 2 blokes know very much about Queen. And for wonderful inside details we also see lovely FanClub-Jacky and the ever so nice Peter Freestone (Freddie's personal assistant) with stories that go straight into your heart. Pity only that the two fans didn't go inside all of the places. Perhaps for Queen's London 2? Meanwhile, thanks to this item, a Queenfan can have a great Queentour in London.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is the WORST ever, January 30, 2008
This review is from: Queen's London (DVD)
A complete waste of money. If you want to watch two annoying people standing around OUTSIDE where Queen once went, then by all means, this is for you. If you want to learn anything about LONDON or Queen, avoid this at all costs. It's not worth one star.

1.0 out of 5 stars Be ready to fall asleep, July 16, 2008
This review is from: Queen's London (DVD)
I am a huge Queen and Freddie Mercury fan and I was so excited to get this DVD. What a disappointment. It was so boring I nearly fell asleep. 2 guys (knowledgeable, yes; entertaining, no) droning on and on. There is no atmosphere, no feeling of awe that the members of Queeen once wandered these very streets and buildings. I kept waiting for some big reveal, something interesting on the screen, but nothing....dull, dull, dull. Don't waste your money on this dud!
