5.0 out of 5 stars One of my all time favorites!
I bought this book because it was the third of the Tudor Rose Trilogy, and I had read and enjoyed the other two. However, this book has become one of my all time favorites. It took hold of my heart at the beginning and never let go. I laughed and cried. I couldn't put the book down. I had read the other two books in the trilogy, but one could pick up this book without any...

2.0 out of 5 stars Oh no!!! Another REPRINT!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be so exciting to see Susan Wiggs actually return to historical fiction, instead I just keep picking up these titles in the bookstore only to find out that I've read this before. This one was released in 1996 as "Dancing on Air".

It would be so exciting to see Susan Wiggs actually return to historical fiction, instead I just keep picking up these titles in the bookstore only to find out that I've read this before. This one was released in 1996 as "Dancing on Air".

Reprinting is a great thing -- it should just state on the cover that it was previously released. Nora Roberts and Catherine Coulter manage to add that caveat to their re-releases.

The book was/is good historical fiction. It's just not new historical fiction, and I think the new no-warning packaging is unfair to fans.

I'm giving this book two stars for the nasty bait and switch. Reprinting from the old catalog is great if you're just HONEST. I'm refraining from giving it one star out of my love for Susan Wigg's past historicals.

Very disappointed in her books,if you read one its great, more than one you see the repetion of her writting over and over. I spent way too much on several of her books thinking they would be good reading now I just cant wait to dump them off at the used book store.

I bought this book because it was the third of the Tudor Rose Trilogy, and I had read and enjoyed the other two. However, this book has become one of my all time favorites. It took hold of my heart at the beginning and never let go. I laughed and cried. I couldn't put the book down. I had read the other two books in the trilogy, but one could pick up this book without any knowledge of the other two and not miss a beat. I expected to enjoy the book, but I never expected it to fall into my favorites catagory which has until now only included books by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Pippa and Aidan are such vibrant characters that one can't help but fall in love right along with them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, but wished for a happier ending..., December 5, 2009
This review is from: At the Queen's Summons (The Tudor Rose Trilogy) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed the entire trilogy, but the third book did not leave me feeling completely happy. Things did work out more or less in the end, but not the way I wanted them to. The story almost felt as if it ended too soon, or maybe certain developments happened too late. OR perhaps another book is needed to let me know how things turned out and to put my mind at ease. Sigh.

I've enjoyed this whole series. I also agree...the books should be longer (or maybe I just read them too quickly). Anyway, great period and great detail.

I love this time period, but would have liked more in-depth character development, and a longer book!
