There has long been the story that there is a secret gay genocide with the culprit being a genetically engineered virus. Although there is no concrete scientific evidence that such a genocide is taking place, there are many questions that have not been answered. The unproven belief is that vaccines containing lethal biological agents were injected into African Blacks and white gays of Manhattan in order to produce a holocaust that would remove two undesirable groups from the earth. One thing that is true is that it is highly unlikely that a Black heterosexual epidemic could have transformed itself into a white gay disease in America. This is a book to be read with an open mind, remembering that there are few concrete facts that support this idea. Nevertheless this is a book and idea to be reckoned with. It is easy to read and takes little time to finish but when finished, you really do not know what to believe, especially if you are a gay male in the midst of the holocaust. -- AIDS Book Review Journal

I would like to see several of the previous reviewers address the following:
-- In 1969, a Col. MacArthur testified to Congress, requesting $10 million for the Pentagon to develop, WITHIN 10 YEARS, synthetic viruses that would be "refractory" (i.e., resistant) to the human immunological system. Congress granted the monies. Much of the resulting work was carried out at Fort Dietrich, Maryland, the Army's main bio-warfare laboratory.
-- Within several years virologists began describing in the medical journals their experiments with new laboratory developed viruses being tested on cattle, who began to exhibit the symptoms of a "slow, wasting disease."
-- Later, some of these same gov't. researchers proposed, since human experimentation was "considered unethical," introducing these new
viruses covertly by combining them with other experimental drugs for human testing.
-- Next, the WHO conducted the largest innoculation campaign in history in Africa -- which now has the highest incidence of HIV in the world.
-- Then, the NIH conducted the voluntary innoculation campaigns for Hepatitus among the gay communities in New York and San Francisco.
-- Within a year, circa 1979-1980, the first cases of the strange new cancer-like disease started to appear almost simultaneously in the gay communities in those two areas (such simultaneous geographic diversity for the start of a new disease is impossible in nature).
--Then, in the early 1980's, when independent researchers saw the annual gov't. published percentage of population/infection ratio rising dramatically each year in these two test groups (with a trend line that appeared to be heading toward 100%) and started questioning this, the gov't. STOPPED PUBLISHING THE DATA.
--And, to put this in its proper political context, it was the same time frame as the Right and the Religious Right were coming into national political power with the election of 1980, and their overwhelming hatred of gays and the new sexual freedom that had developed in the 1960's and 1970's.
Read this and the author's previous book, "Aids and the Doctors of Death" along with David Horowitz's books; there is a great deal more chilling evidence to show how the new bio-technology has enabled the far right to pursue their fascistic ends much more secretly and efficiently than their German Nazi counterparts.

My name is Gene Matarese, a long term survivor or 30 years who was in the HEP B vaccine trial that also had the HIV virus. I agree with Alan Cantwell that the AIDS virus was man made by the fact that these vaccines are not fool proof neither is the manufacturing. Even if you find this book incredulous. Then I suggest you think about this:

"... it has also become evident that some vaccines may be more dangerous than the conditions they are designed to prevent, and that financial interests sometimes take precedence over patient safety."

You only have to turn to Dr Seth Berkley, CEO and President of International AIDS Vaccine Initiative who wrote in the Wall Street Journal "We are Making Progress with AIDS" Friday, April 25th, 2008. Where he describes the "failure" of the Merck vaccine that increases HIV susceptibility.

Cantwell isn't exaggerating! These virus mutate and grow even more resistant to current and antiquated manufacturing procedures and statistical analysis. The FDA is known for being very spotty in its checks of these trials and have no idea what the issues will be long term.

By the way we were never promiscous! But I was completely abandoned by GMHC, NY Blood Center, Merck and Abbott. Of course they didn't do anything to fight the demonizing or criminalizing of people like me who were infected. Instead they kept saying "It doesn't matter how this virus was started!" or "We don't know!" So to keep us silent we were terrified and shamed which was a form of gaging us since even today we are not supposed to reveal our health status for fear of retaliation and repercussions!

You should read this, if nothing more to realize that vaccines are not always the "Holy Grail" but in this case turned into a non-fiction version of the Andromeda Strain.

Cantwell can't have gotten the AIDS story 100% correct because he still lives, but his pieced together thesis is about as close to the truth as I have come across. He is a gay MD who practiced in the heart of the plague so to speak and has some unique insights, perspectives and ideas that make sense of the history of HIV and the related AIDS drama. Clearly worth a read and pondering, but very scary in its implications obviously. I suspect his plot is accurate, but not the list of actors in this sordid drama, which is mostly why no one offed him. [...]
