What's even more cool is that now with twitter and facebook I can personally connect with jai and carson. I LOVE IT!! and when I mention the latest show I watched I can contact them and ask them about the back story and they actually reply!!

I wish they'd kept up the series for even MORE seasons!

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy would have been fun if it had come out this year. Carson Kressley and the rest of the Fab Five had the kind of fresh don't-be-afraid-to-make-fun attitude that separates great reality make-over shows from those that are just okay. They made off the cuff, hilarious observations look easy and, to their credit, the straight men they made over were quick to get into the spirit of the thing.

But because it came out when it did, Queer Eye did more than give us laughs and fashion tips. For some Americans it introduced sophisticated, creative and people loving gay culture. It showed some straight people (who might not have known "out" gays) that far from being afraid of gay culture, they could celebrate it. It showed the parents of gay kids that there were terrific role models out there for ther children. And it showed gay kids, teens in particular that their moms and dads could appreciate gay people.

The Fab Five did all of this as they cleaned out guys's messy underwear drawers, made fun of scarey shower curtains and threw out really bad college poster art. Amazing!
