Scratches the Itch!,

I just discovered this little two-ended wonder this year. What an ingenious idea! One end looks like a tiny honey server. The parallel discs of plastic can scratch an itchy ear, and they can also pull out flaky or dead skin. The curette, or spoon, on the other side is soft and flexible. Truly, if you like them, you'll want a box in your car, your purse, and by your favorite chair or bed. The plastic is flexible, but sturdy enough that I think they can be sterilized. Two thumbs up for this gadget.

I usually use the Japanese bamboo cleaners for dry ear wax. These are better - disposable, soft, and very efficient. My wife even likes them.

great for that itch,

These little guys are the best thing since the bobbie pin. I had this itchy dead skin in my ear and these just feel so good and they are way safer than a q-tip. you just have to be real careful and not poke them in too far.

Not as good as I thought it would be,

I have a metal ear cleaner which works way better than this one. The head on this plastic one is too big so it's hard to scrape (lightly and carefully, of course) the inside of the ear.

A little bit better than using your elbow,

The packaging sports a couple of graphics simulating the flexibility of these contraptions.
Don't be fooled. The amount of force required to cause these to flex will scrape and cause pain on your outer ear canal. In other words, they are are not soft nor flexible enough for use in the outer ear canal. They hurt. A cotton swab after a nice warm bath works much better than these. I've found the "Bionix Safe Ear Curette" product to work much, much better. These are smaller and do not require the "brute" force to get them in the ear to work effectively. I use these to "tickle" stubborn wax from my children's ears.

The scoop-end of these cleaners is too flexible to remove wax properly, and the other end is too rough on the ear canal

This item is not worth the money and I was charged as much for shipping as I paid for the item. It could have been sent first class mail and they are not sterile.
